Yeah when the sequestration happened they were kicking people out based on shyt they did 10 years ago in tech school

I did behind closed doors at some gung ho lifers "my Air Force" type dudes that got their walking papers during that time. Thought they were getting a retirement, until the USAF said maybe not. Do you know how many people defaulted on car and housing payments because of that?

Bro, you're thinking of GSC. Space command bases are the shyt. They're all in CO. Thule sucks but the rest of them are awesome.

I'm gonna make a serious thread about the Air Force soon, but for now man, I would just work on them certs. The military seriously isn't as glorious as you would think, as a black man in the military, I'm telling you that you are in for some bullshyt.

Really? I'll be forth right: I'm a white dude, but I always felt the military gives minorities a better handshake then a lot of the private sector. A lot of the officers and NCOs that mentor me are minorities. I'd be lost without em honestly. What branch you in? Maybe it varies from base to base or AFSC to AFSC?

Listen to this man, if you want to join the military, there are two things you need to know

1. Don't go enlisted, its pretty much like working a job on the outside but you have extra bullshyt to deal with with the exception that when cacs are being cacs, you can't just up and leave/tell them fukk off. There are avenues like Equal opportunity and such but you mostly gonna look like a snitch .

2. Go officer, you start off with a position of power (butter bar power better than having people think you just a stupid airman), you earn LOADS of money, you have more responsibility which is good or bad to some people.

I'm a butter bar bro we don't have any power The officer route is definitely a strong option though. The pay is good. OP, message me with any questions you have about the USAF. There's nothing wrong with enlisting, but don't write off the officer route.

Breh Minot, Beale and those assignments like that are all horrible I was at Minot in 91st Space Command fukk that place. I was a 3E9 Emergency Management (Disaster Preparedness at time) when I was in the AF.

How long ago? Global Strike and Space split off into separate MAJCOMs. Minot only has a Bomb and Missile wing now.


But I'm not disagreeing with you bro, Minot and Beale are not on my wishlist . I'm at McConnell and people hate it here..but it's civilization so I can't bytch . I'll take it over a missile base any day.

Do your 4 years and dip
Use that VA loan to get a crib
Use post 911 gi bill
They will pay you to live if you a fulltime student
Build up your credit game during your 4 years
