Your reasoning makes zero sense. The idea of men paying is a societal construct that came from a time when women were property all the way to a few decades ago when women stayed at home.

Courtship and going on dates was a way for a man to show paternal instincts and his ability to provide. Also, dating back then was not the first step in courtship and a man was certain you aren't with another guy .

This current mode of dating is outdated as women can and do provide for themselves. Women can and do go on dates with multiple guys. Women engage in casual sex without commitment. Without a guarantee of commitment or marriage, a man should be looking for women that have the most animalistic desire for his genes, I.e. women that want to fukk him with no commitment.

A woman's biological imperative is to find that man that wants to provide (spend money on dates) and the one she really desires, the one she'll fukk within 15 minutes of meeting.

Our needs are partially at odds with each other, which is why there is a strong element of game theory in courtship
