I feel like once this will be legal, it will eventually ripple over to the US. Just wondering how long it will take since the US is so conservative. Or will Conservatives be more willing to allow this than allowing women access to abortions.
florida just sent through another law restricting abortion and birth control.

Me, myself and I
Why not:yeshrug:She wants the child. He doesn't. She gets what she wants, he gets what he wants.
Not sure how I feel about this, but I don't see myself in this situation anyway. :manny:

I will say that many women will get a reality check with this. No more having a baby in hopes of keeping a man. No more trying to trap a baller. Groupies are going to be MAD.

Thats definitely the major component, not so much the trapping a baller, but definitely "keeping a man." I'm not saying im all about abortions going up or anything, but I would hope
that the realization that the rico suave brotha who is here today but gone tomorrow is a lot less attractive to a woman who realizes that if he knocks her up, he can sign on the dotted line
and walk away scott free.

Thats not to say many men don't already, but these situations apply mostly to well-meaning men who would rather not have a kid for one reason or another but his partner chose to anyway.
It is a sad thing to legislate, but one would hope it increases the thought behind sex and bringing children into the world. If a child is conceived, a man can run away. A woman can't. The child
is with her. Hopefully with that realization, less "unwanted" pregnancies happen. Fortunately, and somewhat unfortunately, even if it was a stable relationship, a man signing away his rights
would at least let that girl know 100% without a doubt that he ain't the one.:francis:

Sounds like a recipe for disaster especially in the Black community. Ya'll hate the feminist agenda but something like this would be a strong part of it. Many feminist don't think men need to be present to raise child. I have a friend who is on this tip. Men would think they won with this one but the future of the community would lose exponentially.

Get out of jail free pass with your seed is not acceptable. There are just somethings you should do. Be responsible for what you create is one of them.

Imagine the men who grew up without a father, thinking this is normal, impregnanting several women and opting out. Now the women will have to make the tough choice.

Women who placed their hope and trust into a man, because they were looking for what their fathers lacked or women who allowed these men to impregnate them will either raise more fatherless children or have multiple abortions.

So either abortions will become more commonplace or women have to step up and learn to value themselves and their bodies more. In this country, we do not have resources for improving parenting skills, mental health and healthy interpersonal relationships, especially for those in poor communities who can not afford this. Not to mention, the way media affects adolescent and young adult sexuality.

Which is better for the child? To know that your father gave up all rights, obligations and privileges? Or to know that your father only does what the court orders, if that?

I feel like either way, the community needs to address the issue of self-love, respect and sexual responsibility. Sex education is still a controversial topic in this country and that also contributes to many unplanned pregnancies.

I agree in principle but I think the law would have a different effect. I would think that a larger number of women would willfully abort after the father has "washed his hands" of the situation. I could be wrong, though.
