If a woman goes thru with the pregnancy it's her own choice :what: She can make a mistake and take it back afterwards , if a man makes a mistake he has to live with it

You think because the woman is stuck with raising the kid that she is being held accountable? :dwillhuh:

These answers are so dumb I can't even...:what:

Are you not familiar with the process of pregnancy. It does not get to that stage without them both making a choice.
Yes a woman is being held accountable if she is raising the child :what:

Even more accountable than the man who you claim takes all the accountability but doesn't even do half of what the mother does :what:

You're not in control of whether or not you decide to put your penis into a woman's vagina?

The equality of the law. Period. That's all this is about. The equality of the law. There's no prerequisite to justify inequality.

Cool, since I'm just radiating with stupidity there's no sense in me continuing this conversation

This doesn't make things equal.

One person gets to sign a paper. The other has to go through a potentially life threatening emotionally damaging procedure.

That's not equality.

right this very minute Texas has a case before the supreme court that would effectively close all but 2 abortion clinics in the entire state. we have 30 million people here.
numerous other states are pushing anti abortion laws that effectively outlaw abortion in their states.
depending on who fills Scalias seat its entirely possible that there would be a rollback of roe v wade.

Word.

this "legal abortion" is nothing more than a dream and a wish for men who still want to go raw with whomever wherever.

One could easily say that about physical abortions, but we both know that's not always the case. For every chick opening her legs without discretion, there's a young girl who has a tough choice to make. For every dude slinging dikk recklessly, there's a young dude who has a tough choice to make.

I personally think getting a legal abortion would be a cowardly way out, but it's not my child, it's not on me to judge any more than I'd judge a woman going to the clinic.

whats to stop someone from not telling you shes pregnant until your time period has passed?
nothing.

A clear example of two people not on the same page, but not enough of a reason for a legal abortion option to exist or not exist. There's nothing stopping a woman from withholding info in any situation, whether that's keeping the baby, aborting it, adoption or in the case of Sweden, legal abortions.

your chance for a choice is prior to fukking raw, not after the positive pregnancy test.

Currently, yes. But the proposal in the OP is interesting.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that this is nothing more than a good what if type discussion to have.

Everyone could go back and forth on the subject of course but since it's really nothing more than a dream some folks have, it's whatever.

Men could focus on better birth control options, pre sex contracts or changes to the family court system (or some of all 3) but focusing on this particular pipe dream is just a waste of time.

I don't have a horse in this race. My kids are grown and neither I nor their father was under the mistaken impression that we got our kids from anything other than fukking.

Honestly if a woman can opt out of having a child, it's not crazy to consider a man having the same choice. It would completely change the set up in society if something like this goes through. Only problem is you would need to be told before the 18th week.

I dont think you can stop unwanted pregnancies. It's just a fact of life, part of human nature. I mean even the honorable Ned Stark had a b*stard.

A what if conversation is why I responded. I've been married for 7 years so I'm not really worried about any kind of abortion either way. Just found the topic interesting.
