They need to just get rid of the draft(in all sports)and just have the players sign wherever they want as free agents

Actually that is exactly what a system like that would do. It would force a team like the 76ers to actually try to make trades to get real life nba players on their team...otherwise by year whatever they know they can't get a high draft pick and then they are super screwed.

The current system allows Philly to do exactly what they are doing now...get a high draft pick, if they can find some excuse to not play him...don't play him...if he shows himself to be a player of real nba talent, trade him for damn near nothing...make any type of trade that involves you getting a high draft pick...

Philly is trying to build a team of nothing but top 5 picks :russ:...when was the last time a team in the nba was able to do that :russ:...

Just a straight scumbag team really :scust: fined 3 million dollars because they didn't disclose just how bad Jrue Holliday was hurt when they traded him for draft picks :scust:

Cavs draft positions since 2011: 1st & 4th overall, 4th, 1st, 1st, and finally 24th. 5 top 5 picks in 4 seasons 3 of them being 1st overall, one of them traded for Kevin Love the 5th overall pick, and then they re-signed Lebron the 1st overall pick in 2003.

Kyrie 1st overall (2011)
Lebron 1st overall (2003)
Tristan Thompson 4th overall (2011)
Love 5th overall (2008)

Wiggins 1st overall traded for Love (2014)
Dion Waiters 4th overall (2012)
Anthony Bennett 1st overall (2013)

The Warriors have 12 lottery picks since 2001, 5 since 2008. The Sixers have 6 since 2008, 3 of those in the last 2 seasons.

You really think the Sixers are out here thinking "man we'd love to sign him but he makes our team better so pass?" Do we not shyt on teams who seem like they're only spending money to spend money? Do we not rip teams for dumb signings? Philly for the most part has stayed away from that and you're taking it as they're not trying. Maybe they don't wanna go out and overpay someone just to overpay them.

Um...

Overpay :russ:

Next year the second highest paid player on their team will be Joel Embiid and he still on a rookie deal :russ:

Explain this "reward." There's no reward for losing. NONE. It's never ever worth it.

The irony is that if your goal is to win an NBA title, winning the lottery is the last thing you wanna do, because here's the list of lottery players drafted #1 who won a title with the team who drafted them:

David Robinson
Tim Duncan.

That's the list and they had to do it together.

You gotta stop with the fake outrage though. If this wasn't Philly, you wouldn't care.
But I heard that tanking is the best

Um...

Let's compare the worst TWolves team of the past decade vs today's Sixers. It'll be fun

Noel and Okafor will still be on their rookie deals at that point, and no one in the league will have anywhere near the cap space they'll have and as for who would wana sign with them that's why they need to acquire as many lottery picks as possible, no one will want to sign there unless they're already a contender or at least have the potential to be a 4 or 5 seed, then they'll be able to add 2-3 max guys on top of that and keep all their draft picks cause of Bird rights. If they play these next couple seasons right and finally get some luck on their side they can build something really special.

Philadelphia won't get one max player that has max offer elsewhere, but I think the league will put pressure on them to spend

the funny thing is...

they punish the Sixers by taking away picks and shyt..

That makes them worse.

so they'd still be ass.

I remember the NFL started to place pressure on Ford when my Lions stuck with Matt Millen year after year. I imagine there's language in the league constitution about acting in good faith to produce a competitive product. Sixers are eroding a generation of Philadelphia basketball fans and that's everyone's bottom line with revenue sharing.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Teams like the Wolves and Kings have been bad for 10+ years now and consistently in the lottery but no flack is ever given to them. Only when the Sixers are bad for 3 years is when its a problem.

You're serious? What the sixers are doing is on a whole other level of any form of tanking I've ever seen in any sport... And they've been doing this for 3 years now?

Says a lot about the philly fan base allowing this

And they failed to land wigggins then landed embiid tho but he turned out broken. 2 franchise chagging players gone what a waste
