They don't shoot a high percentage from the field, their offense is 4th most efficient in the league, even their point differential is damn good. The problem is they cannot get stops when it matters, which is why they lose all these close games.

They are 8th in the league in point differential, shyt makes no kind of sense, they are +5. Every other team in the top 10 has a winning record.

I think they have looked great their first 10 games. They have also blown out teams that they are markedly better in comparison. but they look horrible in the 2nd half, everything goes away, they go away from their ball movement (the fukk is going on with Ricky :rubiohuh: , play hero ball, stop feeding pek, bench breaks down, and they don't play defense. All this accounts for them being 0-10 in games decided by 0-4. i still blame Adelman for not trying to improve his rotation off the bench, utilizing dudes like Derrick Williams and Shabazz, they could have really filled a critical hole (even Beas). The only guy who used to be able to play defense, AK47, went to Brooklyn for way less money (probably not intended. Brewer is okay, I guess :yeshrug:

I think it only gets worse after that horrid loss against Phoenix.

I don't understand. Does no one think the Lakers aren't signing Melo this offseason? Melo has to go to the Lakers. He don't want to go back to NY. Where else could Melo go?

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Burke or Giannis wouldn't be playing on this team right now.

They lack bench scoring and shot blocking, yet won't play Dieng or Muhammad.

I even posted an hour or so ago.

It's really crazy how much of a decline Adelman has had from even 2 years ago when all he did was let Ricky and Kevin freelance. Now he wants to institute his offense and now Ricky doesn't even look like he's having fun anymore (another reason why I'd just let him walk; Adelman and Flip set up a roster for a coach who could leave tomorrow if he wanted to. Who's gonna wanna coach what's left of that team? Ah, but this is where we'll see the shortest coaching search ever; either Flip, Flip's son or Rick's son David will take over. They run shyt like a father and son painting store, they really do, all because they're scared of being turned down, hence why Flip's even in this position)

There is no doubt that team has the talent to have a much better record than they do right now. I thought they could have been as high as a 5 seed going into the season, and I had no idea Love would be as good as he's been.

he won't. The point of the deal was so that he could get a super max out of it (that was the compromise met since Love couldn't get the 5 year franchise max)

and about that franchise max, Love wanted that for purely egotistical reasons. This thread would still be made at this exact time if he had 3 years left on his deal instead of one.

But if they were winning, it'd probably be different. We'll never know.

I think Melo signs with the Lakers. And they somehow find a way to get Kevin Love the next year when he's a free agent.

Love has made it known he wanted to be on The Lakers w/ Westbrook since UCLA. They need to trade him.

On a side note, expect a franchise tag in the next CBA.

Yeah, if he played like he's capable of, you'd be hearing Love compared to every Celtics great including Bird within a month. He'd probably have his jersey retired by the all star break.

I think between Stevens coaching him and probably having him spend a lot of time between the 3 point line, how easy Rondo will make his life, and the fact that he'll be worshipped in Boston, they'd have a legitimate shot of getting him to sign an extension. I don't think Boston does the deal unless Love agrees to waive his player option at the very least.

3 years ago, they tried to compare him to KG out here, and they love KG like they love Puckett and Prince. Since then, no more mentions of that bullshyt, he doesn't deserve it. Wolves cannot win without him, and he is pretty good. He has pretty clutch moments (I think this team has the ability to come back from decent deficits) but still does random shyt like miss clutch free throws, float around the arc and jack up random 3s in the third quarter like he trying to make Vince Carter proud.

I think he is a good player, I don't think he is on the level of the greats nor should he be lauded for it. Who the fukk knows though, maybe he will actually be great elsewhere :yeshrug: He had great games against Blake and Aldriidge, but I have seen him get bodied by Al Jefferson and Faried. Can't figure him out.

I don't see a point to a franchise tag. This ain't football.

He calls Paul Millsap daddy. I'm convinced of it.

He'd be more engaged in a market like Boston.

that's not what a franchise tag is designed to do. In fact, using it for that reason make shyt that much more hostile (and is probably illegal anyway since we're dealing with guaranteed contracts)

I've seen it proposed and it's well known that small-market owners are conspiring to flip an advantage

@tremonthustler1 why did Love sign that 4 year extension if he was so immediately furious about not getting the 5th year breh, was it more than he could have gotten if he just became a FA?

He woulda been an RFA, so it would have either been a situation where Love would have signed a 4 year max offer sheet (which is what Minny offered) OR take his chances and play on a 1 year QO (with his injury history, I think he just wanted a max deal where he could opt out early). The 5 year max is what Westbrook got, and to satisfy his ego he wanted that too

It takes humongous balls to walk away from that much money. He would have had to play two more seasons to get to free agency because Minnesota would match any deal he'd get as a restricted free agent, so Love would have to sign the 1 year qualifying offer to get to actual free agency.

So thats two years he'd have to play thru at way way below what he deserves and risking potential injury that could cost him the chance at that money, that's a huge risk
