Ok, then either take the hit to your check or cash in your PTO. That makes zero sense for a company to pay your for sick time off when you never even have to leave your house in the first place, and unless you have a major illness more than likely can still perform your jobs functions.

It’s no different in taking a sick day when you’re in office and when you’re wfh. You’re too sick to be productive at your job. The only difference is the environment.

:yeshrug: probably is, I didn't use all my pto when it was limited at my last job so PTO has never been a issue, especially remote

You don't get paid for unlimited PTO. shyt is dumpster juice. And depending on the company, its looked down on taking days off

Give me my guaranteed days so I can use them or cash out. If I leave my job now I'll have $4k easy.

Work for an organization that doesnt care about well being of their employees, brehs.

My company has unlimted PTO (paying people out for unused vacation days at tech firm salaries is dumb)
My company also schedules a day during (Monday or Friday) each month where no one is working.

That reminds me, I have a $750 wellness allowance that I need to use before end of the year.

Everybody doesn't have that privilege, some people HAVE to take a job:dahell: At least when you have traditional PTO you can take it on a whim and can't nobody say shyt

A good manager wouldn't mind. As long as you perform when youre back at work.

Managers that don't get this :camby:

It's about control for a lot of these megalomaniacs. It stresses them the fukk out when they can't see you or have you on immediate call.

Sounds like a good trade off to me. You get to stay and work at home, no more paid sick days. Don't see what the problem is here. :manny:

sheeiit...they better give me my sick days lol..ill never work for a place that would pull an okey doke like that

in my current job ive only taken 2-3 sick days in about 3+ years and if i need to take one while im WFH, no questions asked im going to do it

yeah, I have almost 2 months PTO banked. that is a 1/6th of my annual salary right there.

Bro if you can do your job in your bed in your pajamas you better be damn near dead before you tell me you can't perform the functions of your job.
