I'd take Ingram just based on me not liking Simmons personality. Simmons lackadaisical play at times seemed disrespectful to his teammates/coaches but maybe that's precisely why he went where he did. Ingram played hard on every play and was there for his teammates. Ingram is obviously more advanced offensively right now but is behind physically. Simmons is another unique playmaking passing 4. Reminded me of a younger more talented sane Royce White. If he can become a shooter he could be insanely good.

Go watch the Louisville loss and see where this statement is wrong. He shot one time in the last 11 minutes and that's with a guy almost a foot shorter guarding him most of the time

I'm not talking about having one bad game as a freshman. I'm talking about consistent lackadaisical play where he didn't even care about winning or losing

I wouldn't play hard, I mean why? I have no stake in the school, I wouldn't really want to be there, I can honestly see where Simmons was coming from. If he gets hurt he ends up like Nerlens dropping 5 spots and losing millions as a result.

There was a whole stretch of games where Ingram didn't even look like a lottery pick let alone a top pick but everyone turned a blind eye to it because we were so busy overanalyzing Simmons game. I want Ingram to be great but I also want both of these players to be judged fairly. Ingram has his fair share of question marks that people want to overlook for the sake of saying he should go number 1

Simmons. He's a franchise changing level talent if he gets a jumper, especially a 3pt shot. Ingram is the type of player that can fit in any type of offense and can be a poor man's KD which isn't bad at all. So I'd go with Simmons and build around him.

if you don't play hard it raises questions about your passion for the game/work ethic

Ingram might need to put on weight, but that's not going to help Simmons out that much at this stage in his career

On offense he's afraid of contact and can't score in the half court, it might help if he improves his defensive effort

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I'd take Ingram cause he already friends with Okafor and maybe that would make them want to stay after the rookie deal is up

Simmons is gone for chance he gets
that's 4 years away... you get the rookie deal plus 2 years of team options

so yea... he can bolt... in 2019... and simmons in 2020

by then the max should be around 40 million... and lebron will be about 34-35... and the entire east will look totally different, sixers included

you can't be drafting based on what might be going on 4 years from now... you think the lakers gonna have max dollars to spend 4 years from now? they gonna have to not get anyone for the max for the next 4 years for that to happen

:russ: if his barely shot the ball how yu think he scored the ball

Simmons spent more than half the time in the post. Johnny Jones is a moron, he should have had him in the perimeter or the elbow where his talent would have thrived more.

A lot of points came in transition and easy layups or mismatches

His post game is going to get shut down in the league

He can still post up smaller players but he really should operate from the elbow in the halfcourt more.
