that struggle and resolve is probably what got him through to winning

People at the top eventually become complacent only the mentally strong survive. Him doubting himself wondering if he could lose pushed him through the practices and agony.

lmao, Simone Biles has won more than anyone that's why she the GOAT you see all the Gold Medals she got

and she only dropped out of the team competition

and I'm glad she did, she get still get all the Gold Medals as an individual, and USA will hopefully lose and not a Gold Medal as team

because the fukk the USA, all they've doing is routing for Biles and Sha'carri to fail

Good for her

No doubt, she let them down. No excusing that.

This would've been an amazing duo :francis:

No wonder she's been dominating the competition, and landing all her PLANTS, off those insane routines. Look at those FEET. :scust:

I thought she had those UGGs slippers on. Shorty got those Hank McCoy feet. :scusthov:

Here’s the thing… you go try doing a yurchenko double pike when your head is all messed up and see how you end up.

If you doing something like gymnastics or high diving and you don’t feel right, then I have no problem with you stopping yourself. Cause one wrong move and you’re in a wheelchair for the rest of your life. It’s not as easy as just playing through it.
So u don’t think she should do individual events? Those double pikes are going to be just as difficult. So he can clear her head for herself but not her team?

Yes she is a legend but giving up? In the moments where she was up? If she were injured sure....but tapping out to mental fatigue?

GOATS don't do that....ever...

Being mentally tough is part of what makes great athletes great. There is a mental component to every sport. For example making clutch freethrows with the game on the line is a mental thing. No excuse for her. This generation is soft and weak. Everybody wanna claim mental health and trauma as an excuse for failure these days and I'm tired of hearing folks whine about it. Its a part of life. deal with it.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, had she done it before the games. At 24, she's already older than most gymnast.

But to have other athletes behind her waiting, and competing, and then tapping out? He legacy is already in the books and she was so dominant, even if she won silver or bronze, it wouldn't have tainted her one bit. Whatever it is, it should've been addressed before the games. Oh well, US gymnastics is done the rest of the way.

Would you keep that same consistency if Lebron or another athlete had that same mindset?

actually yes...
1. i dont care about athletes like that. they only human.
2. i've felt similar pressure on my job. i snapped at the bosses and told them i would quit rather than do that BS they wanted. i got tired of being the go to guy for everything. im involved in everything but this brown noser gets paid 20k more so i snapped. then i started not answering TEAMS calls and avoiding meetings.

Being "the man" , " the woman", the "one" is a serious mental drain

I mean, I get it...but this is different.

It's like being a walmart greeter when your well into retirement age. One day you wake up and are like...fukk it. I don't have to be here, fukk all yall because I never liked you anyway :yeshrug:

It ain't right and if I was her teammate I'd feel some type of way but I understand :francis::mjlol:

She has every right to bow out especially regarding her past with athletics.

My only issue is she took somebody's place

Curious why it hit her NOW. If you were hesitant, you'd think this would have popped up through all the training, Olympic trials, qualifiers etc.

nah these brehs in here just like to talk especially that dude @Thavoiceofthevoiceless Lol. They clearly weren't watching because i saw her interview before the games even started and she was talkin about breaking down over the pedo trainer case and now she has a panic disorder. She's been trying to push through.

That still doesn't change the premise of our point though?????

She wasn't obligated to participate in the Olympics. If she didn't feel up for it mentally, then she could have easily sat out and no one would have said a word because her legacy was already set.

If she didn't want to be there and her heart wasn't into it, then don't go.
