That's not an excuse though as if they were doing well and performing this wouldn't be a topic of discussion.
We don't have to make up any excuses for her or the team. Just say that this isn't their year and there are other countries better than them. There's nothing wrong with admitting that. There doesn't have to be a complicated or major factors in someone losing or not performing well.

Mental issues have never been a problem when she's been winning and had success, so don't use them as an excuse now that she nor her team or performing well. It's disingenuous and makes a mockery of mental health issues in that you can't handle losing.
