Gotta keep it buck --- this is an expected result when it comes to a culture that has emphasized "stop snitching" as a de facto reality. Besides a lot of these murders were addressed and handled on a street level when it comes to the respective parties involved, so unofficially many of these cases are closed.
Truth. Street justice was administered in many of these cases.

i dont get it ??? u just posted his extended catalog from a body of work that spanned over decade and now your telling me he was on the verge of blowing up
there never been precedence in hip hop like that

mac dre on aftermath :comeon:and dr dre didn't sign 50 - em sign 50
Were you living in an insulated eastcoast bubble in 2005-2007? That Hyphy Movement that was spearheaded by Mac Dre was HUGE. You have artist from The Bay who's popularity sprang from that one seminal moment in the mid-00's when Hyphy took over. That would've all translated Mac Dre's popularity. It would've been Mac Dre being featured on all those popular Southern tracks ala E40. Mac Dre is somewhat a legend for the popularity of that Movement alone. Careers and units were sold because of that Mac Dre posthumous wave. Soldiers were ghost riding tanks in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mac dre been on BET and VH1, bet did a romper room episode on American Gangster and vh1 did a special on him.

DITC was no more relevant of a crew than YBB or thizz and as far as their respective scenes go, it was less relevant than thizz by a wide margin.
I couldn't agree more. Alotta eastcoast bias in this thread. NFL crew isn't anymore of a household name than Romper Room. But that whole Thizz, Hyphy Movement was such a larger nationwide movement.

it aint bout NO east coast bubble

Mac Dre dosnt have a plaque
his biggest affiliates are E40, jacka, kneak (thats 1plat rapper outta the 3)

while L
went gold
biggest affiliates were mase, camron, fat joe (thats 2 plat rappers & the other was multi plat)
was bout to sign with rocafella No.1 label at that time

i just dont understand this :snoop:

personaly i'd zero problem if they placed dre name in this article but as already stated i think there intentions was only for 4 rappers & obviously going with the most popular
