Yes, but looking at the Craig era, these movies take around four years to make now. So if they gave Idris a three movie deal, he would be 53 when his first Bond movie comes out, 57 when they'd release the second and 61 for the third movie . It could have worked if they had cast him for this one, instead of going for one more Craig movie, but they need to find somebody else now

Sean Connery was 32 when he did his first Bond, Roger Moore was 46. Connery stopped at 41 and then did one more Bond movie at 53, Moore was 58 at the time he left the role.
