I'm just wondering how in the hell they struggled so much against the Mavs.

mavs were built perfectly to give the spurs trouble

can space the floor, play great d, all the wily vets stepped up (carter, marion, calderon) great bench depth and rick carlisle

That ball movement they have creates so many scoring options. They have very capable players who know how to get in where they fit in.

Big difference from last year with the Heat is that guys like Battier, Miller and Cole were knocking down shots. Battier isn't hitting shyt anymore, Miller is gone, and Cole and Chalmers have been absent. Not to mention Wade is broken down...it's a wonder the Heat even won a single game.
I hope the reat of the league takes note and starts to let that ball move instead of the stagnant superstar ball we've been seeing.

The Cavs with Embiid would actually have the small early makings of what the Spurs have, just that Irving and Waiters are selfish as shyt.

They actually have capspace this summer :dead:
Nearly 10 mil in possible capspace this summer :wow:

They pretty much have a clear cap after next season too, other than Splitter(who is on a wisely structured descending contract) having to pay Kawhi

I just looked up their cap situation, and you can tell it was just masterfully handled

This organization is run near perfect from top to bottom

they'll use it to keep Diaw and Mills IMO...

2-3 year deals for each

Spurs are set up very nicely flexibility wise...

Splitter and Leonard will be the only significant salaries on the books in 2015... they probably re-sign Parker to his final contract...

this Spurs team is the best team of this decade, so far.

Probably the best team since the 2001 Lakers, if we are going to be honest with ourselves.

I also think the grizz could've given spurs some trouble since they have great perimeter D with zach and gasol clogging the paint.
but yeah pop got this team running like a machine. Even yesterday during garbage time, the scrub players were still running the offense almost as effieciently as the starters :wow:
Their offense made OKC's offense look like some JV stuff :heh:
the Grizz would not have beaten this Spurs team. Spurs swept them with ease last year, and this was with Manu being injured.
