Isnt Aldridge a Texas boy ...? :leon:

Yup.

But the Spurs rarely make splashes like that though.

But they got options.

When Pop leaves, they'll still have the same system you would assume with a hand picked successor or Pop being in the front office with Buford

The Cavs with Embiid would actually have the small early makings of what the Spurs have, just that Irving and Waiters are selfish as shyt.

I've been thinking about this the moment we won the lottery.

That's why I think it's uber important that they get David Blatt. That's what he specializes in.

If he could buy into a system there's no reason he couldn't play like Tony Parker, bring Waiters off the bench in the wild Manu role, and have Embiid be their interior defender and post threat.

they just need a coaach with a quality system AND that them dudes will lsiten to.

This Spurs team is one of the greatest fundamental basketball playing teams ever. :blessed:

Zach Lowe the GAWD :lawd:

Surprised he doesn't have a job with a team yet.

EDIT - from an interview

Jake: I think a lot of people are jealous. Do you ever see yourself transitioning out of journalism and working for an NBA front office?

Zach: I guess you never say never to anything, but I’m very happy where I am right now. Grantland is a very stable place and it’s a place I’d be happy to spend a long, long time at.

I was just arguing with my brother about how I think LeBron might have to make that trip back to Cleveland.
The Heat run is effectively over, Wade isn't getting any younger I don't see him having more than 2 more seasons. Bosh has turned into a role player. Ray allen's done, Haslem is done, and everybody else is garbage/disposable. Unless they can get some free agents LeBron might have to make that move back to Cleveland. Cleveland should then try and pouch some of that Spurs coaching and they might have the makings of a great team for years to come.

I think Bron still opts in for another year.

There's no way he jumps ship until he sees what the Cavaliers put on the floor next year.

Pretty incredible how two games can change entire team's perception and legacy.
