GAF aint what it used to be. the current moderation is terrible and has no sense of humor and EviLore acts like a twat. i agree that there are a lot of c*nts that post there, but theres some good communities and discussion to be had there once in a while. i pretty much stick to the hiphop thread (which is good) because the rest of the site gets moderated with an iron fist. as far as the rest, pretty bad. the OT is as bad as TLR here nowadays because you cant call a thread out for being shytty, and gaming side is full of turds. still, its nicre to get tweak info for pc games and information, plus hell i win a ton of free games every time a steam sale comes around.
In a way I can kind of understand why it's moderated so strictly, because it seems like a lot of posters there are one insult away from slitting a wrist or something. I'm not into the moderator dikk-sucking that goes on over there so I could never be a member. That's just me.
Site is great for gaming news, spec break downs, leaks, etc. I'll give them that.
And na I would never discuss anything hip-hop related with any of those cornballs.

its moderated strictly to prevent thread derailing. lets be real, a lot of good discussions on the coli and HL specifically end up being shytty because people call each other fakkits and such, talking about stupid shyt they posted years ago on SOHH. a lot of people ITT seem to be mad about the transexual and gay 'protection'. i agree that its a little oversensitive to that, but whatever. the thing is you can say anything you want there for the most part as long as youre arguing and straying away from name calling. a lot of bannings there happen based on context, like the tone of the thread. as long as you behave yourself youre fine.
the hip hop thread is good, not like the rest of the site and its an good mix of people and tastes. like MightyHealthy said some communities are better than others.

look man, it's the net, there's always going to be fukkery and madness going on. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm in pre-school when posting on a message board. Now If a member singles out another member and calls him/her a racist name and it's obvious that it's personal, sure that's different, but that site takes it to a whole other level. I've been on boards where mods step in and issue a warning telling people to tone it down, they don't do that over there...they just drop the hammer. The sad part about it is that a LOT of posters over there look up to these moderators as demigods, particularly that one with the Sam L avatar (can't recall his name). They get off on the abuse, and the mods in turn get off on the adoration they receive. If someone dares to go against the grain you'll see a steady stream of losers calling for that person to get banned until it happens...then they all yuck it up. The site is literally their life. It's a fukking joke. People over here are goofy and eccentric...a lot of people over there are legitimately disturbed which is the main difference.
