I 100% get it and I don't expect much of anything from the offense but my point was that if you stayed out of news from the offseason you wouldn't know about the OL and you'd be back with a bunch of new guys on defense that Saleh gonna try to shape up.

And Kyle, well, at the very least it's gonna be interesting seeing if having less management responsibilities and an OC will let him cook something new for the offense after it became apparent that his formula ran its course and the whole league knows how to deal with it (because half the league runs it nowadays, lol).

I don't expect much in terms of winning or being a good team but there's enough stuff to keep my interest for a while at least.

And I'm already prepared to not put any thought on the Purdy conversations with the OL we gonna trot out there

after all purdy isnt a statue like jimmy where if an olineman gets beat hes a sitting duck.

one of brocks best traits is maneuvering the pocket. I mean yeah I get it the line will fukk up some plays and influence the passing game, but at some point you gotta work with what youre given and make the best out of it

I meant the dumb hot takes debates about "top 10 QBs" and "he got paid too much money" that are bound to happen any time he struggles.

And the line stuff is about him rushing his throws which he tends to do and we saw a lot of bad passes and some INT because of it. I ain't putting that much weight on it, Not even Burrow can get enough Ws with that pathetic line he has (and sure, Brock is more mobile but that ain't enough either).

I actually think we could do pretty well this season. One thing is every single 'good' NFC is pretty flawed. If we stay healthy I like our chances. I also think these new players could contribute more than you think. We just have to split the first 6 games and everyone should be healthy. The other thing is outside of Aiyuk there has been relatively little fukkery this far.

Pearsall has low 4.4 speed, Cowing and Watkins both have 4.3 speed. it aint speed on offense we're missing

I generally tune it out.
but like... we did nothing for OLine, paid the QB to try and stay alive behind a porous line, paid the TE to continue being a 6th OLineman as a result and at last check the entire top of the WR depth chart is currently hurt. The RB room is lesser for having lost Mason and CMC is on washed-watch. We still use a FB for some reason in 2025.

We better HOPE we a defensive team this year. Because this shyt is a dumpster filled with old newspaper liberally coated in lighter fluid. We a bad spark away from this whole bytch goin up, and we ain't even ran a pretend play yet.

Having two solid young linebackers is never a bad thing. We basically took the Rams strategy of the past 2 years, loading up on youngsters on the defense side of the ball. We're going to find creative ways to use all that speed at the LB position.
