the purge isnt really because of purdys contract. they could sign him and just backload the shyt out of it just like eagles etc doEven the Cowboys keep their log snappers

they have a lot of backloaded dead cap money and they decided to clean the books on it cuz eventually you have to;
they tried to go for it all last year and it was a big failure. now they trying to do what rams did, shed cap space and draft well to compete again in a year or so
2025 is looking like a pipe dream to compete unless everyone stays healthy and everything goes their way
they could sneak into playoffs maybe if everything goes their way and division aside from rams isnt looking too daunting. we'll see.

Defense still got warner/bosa/demo and the rookies played decent in the secondary with a trash coordinator. I mean I said the purge was needed. I dont view it as a bad thing. You right about them deciding to clean the books cause eventually you have to, when your QB goes from making a few million to 10's of millions
There aren't very many times in the nfl where the salary cap is even real because of restructuring contracts and fake numbers like AAV making contracts look way larger than they are, but there is one time where the salary cap absolutely is real and that is when you go from paying a guy pretty much nothing to at least around market value at the most expensive position in football, for that one time occurrence you do need that money to come from somewhere .
Don't worry as a cowboys fan who has watched his QB be toward the top of the market I can coach you through how your team is going to look going forward. See what you do is you look at all the available free agents and you sort by the salary last year. So then you take a number, say 6 million. Anybody who made that...they not for you breh you need to be looking down there at them 3 and 4 million dollar players. Then you to can end up with Miles Sanders, unless we sign him first. Which we did
