It really does. And it makes sense looking at these upcoming drafts. They have to keep their pick this season and if they're smart, tank again next season because that class is even more loaded than 2025's

I might be wrong, but if we keep this years pick, OKC owns our 2026 pick and itll be top 3 protected. So this summer is pretty important.

We also got the Clippers 2028 pick which will be valuable. Harden and Kawhi will be gone

Giving him that extension was one of the dumbest GM moves ever. Wild how with the rise of analytics they don't use health projections to factor into contract extension decisions.
Morey is just 100% star blinded. He would’ve done anything to keep this “window” open. Hes also getting fired, so it makes sense for himself to do things like not trade Eric Gordon when he was coming off an insane 3 pt stretch (who’s now out for the year) or seeing what Yabusele would be worth. You can give Yabu 15m-20 and he could still be a trade piece next year, but that’s assuming he doesn’t have some big regression to the mean of his NBA career.

At least he got the pity MVP and the Happy Meal Gold Medal.

He should've never played this season and it was malpractice for him to play in the Olympics this summer. He looked terrible out there. He also sold out his health that season he got the MVP. The Sixers and him have mismanaged his health so much over the last couple of years. And it was dumb to give him this extension just knowing his general health over his career.

Nobody was trading for 36 year old Eric Gordon.

0% chance lol you're dead right

its worse btw when we forget that he spent his entire first TWO seasons injured...zero games...dude is basically the maximum of what sam bowie could've been in this era
Dude was a top 3 defensive player in the L for the first half of his career and spent the previous 4 being a top 5 offensive player…while his teams would almost always be at a 50+ win pace in the games he would play. Dude is gonna still be a lil bit of a what if because of no good playoff runs and arguably losing at least one MVP off the strength of his injuries, but he’s been more than 6ers ever anticipated he’d be
