I'm not saying you are, I'm just saying the whole Africans sold Africans theory doesn't really make sense.

I used to think it didnt make sense either. But realistically, there must have been some uncle toms that could be convinced to betray their own, along with the tribes that simply traded Africans from other tribes. Theres always one who feels the need to go out of his or her way to please Euros.

Their oldest tricks are to divide, confuse and entice, then conquer. They're still at it to this day...

Are you an Israelite? You don't consider yourself "African", do you?

Israelite yes, and I don't consider myself African. It's nothing against Africans, but I personally don't think we are the same people. This is why I believe we were sold into slavery and Africans had no issue in doing it because we weren't there people to begin with. I also don't think something of the magnitude of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade could have even begun to happen without it being prophecy/destined to happen. It's not an easy task to take millions of people hostage, so it must have been facilitated by the Most High.

Some Tribes like the Ashanti sold captured war prisoners and traded them for guns..but that was very few..but most of Africans were kidnapped by Europeans..it's sick to even think that they would sell their own people let alone family..would you sell ya people to invaders if they came in your community..lol..no

It does make sense. Africa wasn't united and Africans were selling slaves from the tribes they conquered. Africans identified themselves by tribal lines. They weren't selling their own people.

Well, when you say Africa wasn't 'united', I'm assuming you mean by the actual countries at that point? Regardless, I'm pretty sure Africans, no matter what tribe considered the other tribes 'their people' and wouldn't just sell them to a stranger who looked NOTHING like them. And again, why would they themselves not be subject to being taken? It doesn't make sense for the devil to negotiate with a people he could just as easily take and get money for, especially without having to trade/share his goods.

.....Because they were skilled laborers does not mean they were not captured and sold by another group of Africans.A captured African does not lose all of the skills he/she may have learned before being captured.

I have a hard time believing Europeans just waltzed into Africa ,went inland, and just started snatching nikkas without help from people on the inside. Not blaming Africans or absolving Europeans from blame ,but Africans had a hand in it.

I'm pretty sure the Europeans having big ass guns had something to do with it.

Well, let me ask y'all this. Whoever wants to answer is fine. How do you suppose MILLIONS of people were taken from a single continent with the main concentration coming from a specific place which is Western Africa? Why not Eastern, Southern, Northern, Central Africa? Yes, I know some slaves were taken from there, but not many. Furthermore, the Trans-Atlantic slave trade lasted hundreds of years. Why do you think Africans didn't band together doing that time to defend against the invading enemy?

from west africa to the americas, theres a current which literally puts a ship on a straight course without any assistance whatsoever

they actually did take africans from as far as east africa, literally all over

there was much resistance put up and many battles fought. search the history

Well, the Portuguese and Spanish took the majority of their slaves from central Africa. The Portuguese were the ones that came up with the idea to use blacks as slaves and even sold Spain their first for their voyage to the Americas. I don't think people who do their diligence to research the history of the trade think that most of the slaves came from west Africa.
well the Portuguese actually got the idea from Arabs
