Can you make BBQ pulled pork in one of those bytches? :lupe:
Get pork shoulder
-Trim some of the fat, you can take skin cap(if your shoulder has it) off and make some cracklins in the oven if you want
-Rub that shyt down, I use a combo of
smokehouse-maple-chicken-sp.jpg
and my own seasonings for my rub
-Cut up 1 large onion..though I might go 2 on my next recipe as I love onions, and they cook down.
-Spread the onions at the bottom
-I make a little mixture of worchester, bbq, ketchup, apple juice,AND/OR apple cider vinegar pour it in to just cover the onions
-Place the shoulder on top
-Cook that bytch on low for 8-10 hours or until you can put a fork in it and twist it easily
-Strain the onions out
-Save some of the liquid and I pour it on the meat after I pull it apart to keep it moist. I also refrigerate some for the leftovers
-:eat:

:Extra you can inject the meat with a marinade or a apple juice, vinegar mixture. On those BBQ shows, the cooks always use apple cider vinegar with pork so I follow them...meat be moist

:Eating them with Sweet Hawaiian rolls :noah:

If you gonna make this either get you that coleslaw from KFC or make some a day beforehand. I can't stand coleslaw that ain't been marinating in it's juices....bbq without some slaw' ain't right .:mjpls:
:wow:

Haven't made it since I moved into my new spot, but I plan on buying a slow cooker next week so i'll put up a more depth recipe if yall want. You can do this with beef, I forgot the cut I used, it was chuck top round or some shyt and it came out :ohlawd:

Wanna try this with chicken....I imagine I would need a few big ass chicken breasts to do it.

does this shyt increase your electric bill tho?
:russ:

No.

Electricity costs around 15p per kWh, so using an oven for an hour to cook your stew will cost around 30p - depending on your temperature. A slow cooker, which uses around 0.7kWh over the eight hours cooking time as an average of , will cost a third of the price, at10.5p

Slow cookers don't use much electricity....haven't checked but i'm sure leaving a desktop pc on for 8 hours uses more electricity. Slow cookers be great for the warmer months too....especially when you don't want that oven on for hours.
