It's what he does with the name it has a cool sound to me . We acting like Rollins Ambrose and Bryan were some genius original names . If he does the paint cuts good promos and stays good in ring hell be good . Much better than any of axels names or husky Harris the man makes the name brehs. Besides you think guys want to sign their names over to wwe ? What if they flop or get released and they like bad influence stuck with the addiction as a name . At least their pasts are acknowledged by wwe so they getting a rub anyway .

im just saying in general face paint usually is for that kid demographic... only people i ever saw wear face paint that were heels were the powers of pain, kamala, vampiro and papa shango and none of them got over.

Devitt isn't extremely flippy like say ricochet though really he kind of modified his move set already with the bullet club . Thinking about he already was transitioning to a more www friendly style already I guess

As for the ascension, the original ascenion was dark characters, from their music to their lighting during the entrance. They would scream at their opponents for intimidation, but after kenneth cameron got released ( i put all blame on him tbh) they made this transition to the new music no lighting and no longer dark characters, just a team thats supposed to be bad asses..we've had enough of those imo

Ok fair enough and I realize most wwe fans don't even watch nxt so I doubt they really know about njpw. I sent my friend who watches every wwe show and ppV the pic of devitt and steen with devitt painted up and his response was who are those cornballs. This guy buys shirts and DVDs and goes to house shows Raws whatever comes to nyc . He actually watches nxt (mostly due to me always bigging it up back in the day ) and I had to accept that he's the fan who devitt needs to impress cause he spends a lot of money , and I think long as he presented right hell be a big deal . Me and you we already know how good these guys can be but if steen or these guys don't deliver they'll be gone like hero . On another note look at hero his name isn't tainted really thanks to the fact he used another one in nxt
