Except they literally can’t, food insecurity is very much a real thing. Most people on welfare/SNAP will see a box of eggos as the same amount of nutrition as a chicken breast. They don’t understand macros, hell I didn’t either until I started hitting up the gym.

If the Dems reject the SNAP funding that is being offered while they work out other budgets that are contentious it will be their fault they will be the sole reason that SNAP recipients are not getting aid. Period.

It is now Dems fault that federal employs who are working are not getting paid, they said no, because in their words doing so limits their ability to get the immigrant healthcare provision extended.

You realize the SNAP funding expires in November. So the current bill is to authorize spending for it so it can continue without stoppage.
