This shyt has really exposed the retards in the world. People talking about lazy bums and welfare queens like it’s 1983. You actually have to work to qualify for that shyt. So it says something about how fukk up our society is that 42 million are on snap. And these same people crying are closer in wealth to working poor than any billionaire they suck off. And they have no words for all the corporations who get welfare. I found out Walmart gets a tax credit for every worker who qualifies for snap. That’s why they don’t pay them shyt and keep their hours artificially low so they don’t qualify for benefits aka transition off assistance. Also, farmers get subsidized from snap. It’s deep. It’s going to get really bad out here. Not just from the desperate poor who may make some bad decisions. But the overall economy in general. They better fix this shyt quickly
Not necessarily. Either have to be employed or seeking employment

My sons' school asked parents if they could donate some food items to help the ppl/families who are affected by this. We'll probably pick some stuff up today.

I don't get into all of that stuff about "if you don't work you don't eat" type of stuff because kids can't work and one of the saddest things to see is kids going to bed hungry. I will never put my nose in the air like I ain't never came up and we had to use govt assistance. Damn near everybody is a catastrophic event away from goin' through something that would have us in a position of needing help.
That's the part that's crazy about the people that be on that bootstrap mess, you can literally do everything right and a medical event can destroy your whole life and it can be completely no fault of your own. You get hit by a drunk driver and break your leg now you can't work and you gotta pay for surgery, rehab, medication, get on short term disability, etc. add to that having a family and now you headed to the food bank looking for handouts.

Matter of fact I just experienced a situation with a woman living on a fixed income in a retirement home, some idiot broke into her car and peeled the steering column, so now she gotta deal with that and getting a window replaced plus insurancedeductible, on top of a reduction in benefits and rent increases and trying to get food. :martin:

Lol the bold is not getting ignored it's people that bytch about non-voters and bothsiders everyday since Republicans mushed democrats shyt in.

I'm bothsider. Shills got mad because I accurately predicted Kamala was going to lose to Trump. Just like they got mad when we said Biden was too old until the very last minute and they could no longer lie about his health. Dems blaming everyone else but themselves for their shytty election performance.

Been telling mfers to prepare and get ready for his second term. Mfers claim bothsiders don't know what we talking about but always get proven right in the long term.
Well we are now being told that Trump is the picture of health and is more fit than Obama. That shot is going to hurt them at some point too because we can clearly see that Trump is deteriorating. They’re lying about his health too. The Biden shyt don’t even matter anymore because he dropped out and Kamala didn’t win.

Problems here…..These are all mid-term elections so they are local:

Purely running against Trump isn’t going to do it if there isn’t a direct line drawn between the Republican candidate enabling his non-sense

The average voter isn’t dialed into his family being corrupt. It’s wasted resources in a mid-term election to have to setup that narrative and then get buy in from voters.

It’s clear the electorate is uninformed and don’t dig into details. The message has to be dumbed down and focused on what is happening directly to them right now.
I think they’re trying to do all this shady shyt with voting and all that because the Trump ride is almost over. Purely running because “Trump backs me” hasn’t always been a sure bet and I’m sure that shyt is going to matter less in upcoming elections. People are out here talking about how voting don’t matter and all that while these states are redistricting maps and shyt trying to make sure republicans win. You got to make sure the voter apathy that happened in the last election won’t be worse in 2028.. I can absolutely see that happening

Bro
Is there anybody here who would chastise somebody for being on disability ?
:gucci:

This is a "duh" point, if ive ever seen one.
The able bodied people are the ones who are abusing the system and ruining it for those who are really downtrodden.

Despite the state’s rightward shift, Florida leads the nation for Obamacare enrollment with more people relying on this coverage than anywhere else in the country. One factor behind that is Florida’s tourism and service-based economy where many workers don’t have access to insurance through their jobs, Freedman said.

As a result, Floridians — from restaurant employees to gig workers to the self-employed — have turned to a plan long derided by the GOP to get health insurance.

Couple that with SNAP being cut.....This is what the people voted for. Well deserved :obama:

I really hate this cac.
I think his perspective speaks more to those who receive and rely on SNAP benefits to put food on their tables, as the shutdown's continuation hurts them and puts them in a tough spot in terms of feeding themselves and their families.

For those of us who do not receive these benefits, we can commend the Democrats for sticking to their guns, fighting for healthcare, and not caving in since we're not affected directly (as it relates to SNAP). Still, for those on SNAP, they may not be as cheerful as some of us about the Dems holding steady, since it may have put them in a bind, scrambling to put food on the table with what little money they may or may not have.

SNAP recipients' thought process through this situation more than likely differs from those who are not, since we're not in their shoes, we can speak to how they might feel about the situation.

I don't know much about Fetterman, and even though I disagree with him and his “own the shutdown” rhetoric, I can understand the perspective :yeshrug:.

Nah, if they are cognizant enough to apply and qualify for benefits, then they are certainly savvy enough to understand they voted for a party that was hellbent on hurting social services.

I'm sure we can send them bootstraps in the mail since they love using them so much.

Philadelphia voted Blue, racist-ass PA voted Red....fukk em!!! They get what they get...so Billy Bob's MeeMaw gonna have to hunt some turkeys or trap some rac00ns for Thanksgiving....
