As I said earlier - i'm glad I got the booklet.
1. The locations of some of these recordings was noteworthy to me.
The Studio At The Palms, Los Vegas - yeah, a lot of these cuts feel Vegas-y.
Thomas Crown Studios, Virginia Beach - hey Timbo was kinda involved! Kinda. In a way.
Estudio Santito, Buenos Aires - maan, I would've loved to hear some of these beats on studio speakers
with Argentinian broads gettin' loose to 'em...
2. I knew I heard something else on "Peaches & Cream", thas that nicca Nelly!
3. This album did a good job of being old school without sampling. "Peaches & Cream" is the only
song with samples, and you can barely notice them even if you listen for them. It has 3: "It Takes Two"
is the easy one because that's in Snoop's verse; "One Nation Under A Groove" is the whistles; but the
third one is Teena Marie's "I Need Your Lovin'" and I can't tell what part of that is in here...
4. "Produced entirely by Pharrell" my ass...6 of these cuts say "additional production by Chad Hugo".
