Snoop might be the only rapper who has two, hit, party songs that have transcended 3 generations

Juvenile will get there eventually too

Back That Azz Up is 20 years old

Slow Motion came out 14 years ago

Slow Motion went #1, but Back That Azz Up is arguably more popular.

And yes haters, Nelly will join that group too with Hot in Herre and Shake Ya Tailfeather both #1's

and Country Grammar (hot shyt) is BBQ/cookout/function certified

:comeon:

How many average people know and sing along to an LL Cool J song?

And I'm talking about 'Mama Said Knock You Out', 'Hey Lover', 'I'm Doing It', etc?

And I mean rapping the verses, not just knowing only the choruses

How many hits has LL had this decade, fukk it, this century?!

'Ill Bomb', 'Love U Better', 'Headsprung'?

:camby:

Don't just say shyt just to say shyt

when it comes to rapping the verses DMX has everyone beat... not only do people at his shows rap along to the hits but they rap along to the B side songs as well

Yeah I had to remove LL too. Just not meeting the criteria .

And again I don’t think BIG, Naghty or Hammer meet it either ... they might be able to recite some of the choruses but no lyric recitation ... BIG would be the closest out of that group with Hypnotize and MoMoney... but still those songs didn’t hit with the soccer moms in suburbia like that enough at the time for them to be able to recite lyrics .

Everyone knows Hip Hop Hooray. That's not an easy song to know word for word.

You reaching .I love LL but his music does not span generations like you talking. Maybe mama said knock you out but that's it. Young people are not citing LL lyrics word for word

You buggin.

His reach may not extend all the way to today.

But LL got plenty of hits that transcended the 80s, 90s, 00s.

This one would probably even register with fans today if it was given the proper platform.

G Thang and Gin n Juice can be played at a party of soccer moms and they’ll rap that shyt word for word...

Keep in mind, you can go to Snoop show and it’d be young teens, their parents and their grandparents rapping both of those songs word for word... :wow:

I don’t think any other rapper can make that kinda claim with TWO songs that span that manny generations .

hmm I'll try to limit it to just PARTY songs.

damn you might be right. Most rappers have 1 timeless party song but snoop has 2. OH damn I GOT ONE.

JUVENILE- Everybody knows Slow Motion and Back that Ass up. play them songs in the club and watch the reaction. TIMELESS.

How did Ludacris not get mentioned yet?

I agree with snoop though, and I'd definitely add Next Episode to that list.

But no Luda?
dude was king of party tracks for a while.
