so 3.9 yards per rush makes you a HOF these days?

Bettis is 6th all time in rushing yards those other guys arent.

In fact those other guys aren't even top 20

:umad:
taylor and s jax are 15 and 16 respectively. both played with ass qbs, if thats even relevant , and put up equivalent or better stats over a decade. what separates bettis from them, other than hanging on as a role player a couple extra years?

Hanging on 4 years too long gets that.

You forgot Bettis got a ring. He closed out Super Bowl XL and was instrumental in winning 4 str8 at the end of the season to secure the 6th seed prior to the playoffs which led to a Super Bowl victory. Hardware goes a long way. People forget the Bus was an All Pro running back too.

He was a reserve player on that team. When you're talking about hall of fame, how do you count mediocre or worse seasons in the tally as a positive?

:what:

What does the word "instrumental" mean here? He ran for 368 yards that season.

bettis was instrumental in the super bowl run? :beli:

56 rushes for 180 yards, and a potentially game costing fumble which they lucked out and had a guy cut in instead of cut out for the td on the return

fukk outta here

You clearly aren't familiar with the steelers that year then. Ask Urlacher what Bettis did to him and the bears in a critical snow game for the steelers. The steelers lose that game and they miss the playoffs
thats one game. he was complete ass in the 15 others that season

He was great but he wasn't the best RB in the league any of those years. It was either Marshall Faulk or LaDanian Tomlinson. Additionally Terrell Davis was the best player on two championship teams

2002?

debatable. but since this is LT ill give you the benefit of the doubt

2002- LT- 372- 1683 4.5 14 tds
2002- PH- 313- 1615 5.2 21 TDS

I said Bettis was critical during the final stretch of that season which they needed to win and won all 4 just to make the playoffs. Bettis also closed out Super Bowl XL , nail in the coffin
