As long as it has depth, it will be interesting.
yea it seems like they tweaked the combo system enough to make it logical. i never knew what exactly I did to get a combo breaker in the first game since mashing the move while getting wailed on didnt always work.

Now after the combo starter, the buttons you tap to continue the combo determines what buttons they have to press to break out. So according to Maximillian (for those that didnt sit thru the video), if I'm pressing light punch or kick to extend the combo - you would press light punch & kick together to break out. So you have a 1 in 3 chance to break out since there are light medium and heavy attacks in this game. If you guess wrong, the opponent gets to continue the combo for free for a few more seconds.

Killer Instinct Live Developer Commentary, Exhibition Matches w/ Mike Ross, Ryan Hart and More | Test Your Might
Double Helix shared a number of details about the game, including the fact that Glacius will be fully playable at EVO at Double Helix's booth -- along with a brand new character which will be announced from the venue. Double Helix is looking suggestions from fans for gameplay, characters, etc. and expressed a willingness to take fans' input into account to make KI the best game it can possibly be.

Also, DHG cleared up the misconception that the game is free to play; the version of the game that launches with Jago only will be considered a demo; but the game will also have a full digital release with all content. Purchasers will be able to buy either the full retail version, or the demo which will allow you to test the game, and then buy additional characters individually as you desire.

DHG also described the training mode, which is said to have around 40 different lessons in order to help people learn the mechanics of the game. In addition, they shared that the final game will have a few contrasting character archetypes, including grapplers and characters with strong zoning tools.

That game was a money maker back in it's day :whew: between that & Donky Kong Country Nintendo was winning the it's generations console wars against better tech.

I was :damn: I couldn't play this on my Genesis. I had that bloody Mortal Kombat though. :russ:

I hope more fighters go this route. Seems to be a great way to let you get a real feel for the game before you buy.

:heh::stopitslime:That's essentially how it always was you noob. Only difference was that in the og games, it was light beats medium, medium beats heavy and heavy beats light or to some effect like that.

It actually looks sick.
