Reality is this was coming at some point or another. I've been hearing politicians from both parties talk about reducing the size of the government for as long as I've been paying attention to politics. They say the country is over 30 trillion in debt, so cutbacks were coming at some point.

If the choice was dealing with this bs now, as opposed to kicking the can down the road for my kids to deal with, I'd rather have to deal with it myself.

Trumps cuts are going to add to the deficit and debt. You can’t “downsize” government in a globalized society with 350 million citizens across multitudes of industry. This isn’t a peasant fiefdom in 16th century Germany.
