So are we holding Dame to a standard this year or does he get to play the perpetual underdog? Again

CURRY HAS TWO 19PT WINGS
WHO CAN PUT THE BALL
ON THE FLOOR
AND A NUMBER 2 PICK CENTER
AT HIS DISPOSAL THIS YR.

ITS TIME TO SHOW & PROVE.

THEY WERE THE DEEPEST TEAM
IN THE LEAGUE BEFORE KD GOT THERE.

THEY WON 2 PLAYOFF SERIES
WITHOUT STEPH IN 2016.

I GUESS HIS AURA WAS
MAKING THEM LOOK BETTER
FROM THE BENCH.
:mjlol: At this guy talking about it’s time for Curry to show and prove.. The audacity :mjlol:

jail.blazers the short-lived brandon roy era bassy & greg oden years in the wilderness shyte ain't really nothing too commendable there

gsw nellie.ball the we believe warriors the.missippi.bullet years then chef klay dayday

both were basically middle of the pack for that stretch of time

gsw got it right with the pieces they put around chef from the office down to the sideline & the franchise elevated

portland stagnated as a franchise once they saw dame.$ was a gunner they basically have been living & dying on his efforts

with dame.$ the blazers are playoff bound without him they are lottery bound

where the dubs on their stretch of success were a playoff team without chef & championship favorite with him

the sum of all parts makes all the difference in the results

*

Naw the Blazers were better dude. Matthews-batum-Aldridge-Hernandez-Jarred Bayless etc they had a squad bruh. Imagine if Steph got drafted to THAT situation....wouldn’t hear the end of how sweet he had it, meanwhile you in here tryna argue the greatness of the 8th seeded we believe team that missed the playoffs that very next year and was incrementally breaking up that roster:russ: . You dudes something else.

Blazers miscalculated by tryna build a team around a number 2, which is what Dame is.
Dubs calculated appropriately that Steph was a number 1 and built around him. Again, that is the difference. Dame emulating by hitting a few deep threes again has obfuscated y’all’s perspective on what a number 1 is and a what number 2 is

Proof positive of that is evaluating what the two did with their respective deplorable mid major rosters in college. Steph 2008 run at Davidson was just a microcosm of his impact on a roster and how he elevates his teammates. Dame just isn’t that guy man, it don’t matter how much y’all try to talk him up to be.

He was in the CF last year, more recently than Harden. He lost to the Lakers this year and GSW last year. What year are we talking about where he was supposed to go farther than he did?

I don't want to get into semantics but I am not seeing Harden getting shyt on like that. Same with Giannis. Yes you have people that have said things about them but the overriding narrative wasn't that. PG caught more hell than anyone who has been discussed in this thread this summer. That superstar shyt on right there...where every day it's just something else and people just aren't letting up. I am not talking about a person or thread or two here or there. I'm talking a barrage. You honestly hear more about Giannis' J than you do "What are the Bucks gonna do to get him to stay?" :usure:.

I repeat what do you want to happen to him? You got a people in here shytting on him. I've been in other threads with cats going at him. So what do you want? Mind you this is a guy that has never been MVP or even finished super high or been regarded as the best player in the L but you want him to be held to the same standard as these people who all have been one or the other or both? And I am still tryna figure out what this standard is and what punishment is for not meeting it. It sounds like people either don't like dude or are mad that someone other than the guys they have deemed worthy actually get some attention every so often.

Ive said it PLENTY of times, if you're going to call him elite, hold him to elite player standards. If you don't think he's elite, keep it moving. But dont call him elite but be on some "well what do you expect him to do with the team he on" talk. Can't have it both ways is what EVERYONE is saying. Itsnot THAT hard to figure out.....

These dudes understand what’s going on. Truth is, deep down they know they’re just blowing hot air...they already know Dame ain’t the nikka they like to front run him being every time he has a couple good games of elite play

What's the standard breh? What is supposed to happen to him? What is he supposed to have done that he didn't do? Elite players lose in the playoffs every year, unless we are suggesting the only elite players are the ones winning chips. If you are suggesting he isn't elite, why are you expecting him to be held to elite standards...whatever they are?

Elite players don’t shoot sub 40 percent in multiple playoff runs. And 40 percent for their playoff careers...no sir. That’s not what elite players do

Not reading through 15 pages of bullshyt, but the answer is nobody really considers Dame "that guy". Not even his fans. That's why there will always be low expectations for him. Nobody really believes he's a tier 1 superstar. Nothing wrong with that. He's had a great, HOF level career. Just not an MVP type guy.

Thanks for a providing a standard. Now why would a player that doesn't meet said standard be held to it?

Because said player gets called equal to or better than said players who are held to said standard .
That’s my only quibble, people gotta quit comparing him to players he inferior than just because he has a 50 point game every now and then

You had people all on the Coli saying that he's equal to or better than Steph. When you start saying that, i'ma need him to start achieving the same shyt Steph has achieved.

Do YOU think that Dame is ELITE? Simple yes or no.....
