So are we holding Dame to a standard this year or does he get to play the perpetual underdog? Again

CURRY HAS TWO 19PT WINGS
WHO CAN PUT THE BALL
ON THE FLOOR
AND A NUMBER 2 PICK CENTER
AT HIS DISPOSAL THIS YR.

ITS TIME TO SHOW & PROVE.

THEY WERE THE DEEPEST TEAM
IN THE LEAGUE BEFORE KD GOT THERE.

THEY WON 2 PLAYOFF SERIES
WITHOUT STEPH IN 2016.

I GUESS HIS AURA WAS
MAKING THEM LOOK BETTER
FROM THE BENCH.

Last time Curry faced Dame in the playoffs he dropped 36.5/8/7 on his head while Klay was shooting 38/34% from the field and KD was out in a sweep. These two are not comparable and never have been.

The second series you're referencing in 2016 is when Curry came back and stabilized them against Portland. The Blazers started hitting their stride in game three and likely won the series if Steph hadn't returned.

Long as GS doesn't have a rash of injuries again this year, I absolutely expect a top four seed out of them. I agree, they have enough talent to be in the mix though without Klay, they don't have enough to beat the Lakers unless Curry is on god mode. :yeshrug:

NOPE

LETS TALK ABOUT
CURRY MAKING EVERYONE LOOK
BETTER THAN THEY ACTUALLY WERE.

:dead:THEY PRACTICALLY WON 2 PLAYOFF SERIES
IN 2016 WITHOUT STEPH.
THESE WERE THE NUMBERS IN THOSE 7 GAMES.

KLAY: 29, 4 & 3...47%FG, 46%3P
DRAY: 19, 11 & 8...46%FG, 43%3P
LIVINGSTON: 13, 6 & 4...55%FG
IGGY: 11, 4 & 4...56%FG, 53%3P

AS YOU CAN SEE
STEPH IS NOT THE SYSTEM.
HE FUNCTIONS WITHIN THE SYSTEM
LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE

ALL OF THEIR NUMBERS
IMPROVED IN THE POSTSEASON
OF ALL PLACES WITH STEPH.

THEY LOST MORE GAMES WITH STEPH
VS OKC
THAN WITHOUT STEPH IN THOSE PLAYOFFS.

what standard are we speaking of?

Dame got his All Star nods, been to CF finals, and last season got his team into the playoffs with 3-4 key pieces injured :manny:

its fine to have favorites, or argue that Steph/Harden is better or whatever, but i think Dame belongs in the convo as a top guard in the league

Dame’s Blazers havent fielded a roster good enough to get to the finals EVER. Their roster construction has historically been with guys who are only good on one side of the ball. You cant win like that. Portland favours offence and a team like say the Raptors favour defence—both teams win a lot in the regular season but in the playoffs get exposed. So when you look at Portland, when were they most successful? When they had a bunch of long 3 and D wings and interior D—they made the conference finals. A couple years ago they lost that and well the result is what they have today, Dame and CJ who can create offence, Nurk who can score, a bunch of role players that can shoot or score but none of these nikkas are above average at defence or rebounding (well, Nurk/Whiteside) or passing. THAT has been their issue.

His team should be in contention this year, no doubt about it.
People have more expectations for Luka knowing Porzingis finna miss the beginning of the season and more than likely the tail end as well, knowing his injury history, than a 9 year 1st team all nba all star. That is funny to me

This is where I get annoyed by NBA fans. His team isn't good enough to make real noise, period. Not out West.

Again...I repeat...TEAM. fukk you acting like Dame is holding the Blazers back or something?
Not out East either :hubie:
