So can we all agree that Joe Flacco is an elite QB?

:ehh: He is a bit Eli-esque. Inconsistent as fukk in the regular season, but steps his shyt up and takes his game to the next level in the playoffs.

:comeon:You only had to score 14 points to win that game? Lets talk some more on how Joe Flacco won that game :skip:

I was impressed by Joe Flacco's performance last night. He's elite but because he's not with the Cowboys or Steelers or Green Bay, the media doesn't put him in the limelight of elite status.
The other part of winning is team chemistry/gel'ing together, which is what the Ravens have this year. Flacco was able to thread the needle through double coverage. That can only be done with practice and team mates working together.

he isnt elite because he isnt elite. Nothing to do with the team he plays for.

Got damn football fans are simple. :snoop:

And nothing is wrong with not being elite. Dude is a very good QB and is a guy you can win with.

Flacco is a perfect fit for that offense....especially wiht a big play guy like Torrey Smith.

Flacco has a cannon and he allows them to run that vertical passing game. He is a bit like Eli....

I love Flacco and do believe he does not get the respect he deserves at times but I don't know if we can call him elite just yet. Granted I believe Cameron was holding him back with his terrible play calling. It's no surprised that Cameron leaves and Flacco starts playing insane. If he continues to play the way he has been then I have no problem saying he's elite.

He's hella close. To me, he's the AFC's version of Eli Manning. It ain't always pretty and the numbers aren't spectacular, but they just get it done

nah. when he throws the ball alot they usually lose. when rodgers, bress, brady and manning throw a ton they still win it. you cant put it all on him like the other 4 and get the W. when he can consistently do that then he will become elite. SB or not.

Flacco is not elite yet but very very good.

My elite QB's would be Rodgers, Brees, Brady and Peyton.. no surprise there. I think Flacco is on the cusp of moving into the "very good" group of Eli and Rapey.

Romo, Ryan, Schaub.. in that next group.

Still early on Cam but he's been very impressive two years in. Way too early on Wilson, Luck, RGIII, Kaep, etc.. but they all have a ton of potential.

If you take your team to the Super Bowl, that's not enough to be elite. You need to win and win big and win often.
I do think it has to do with being on a sexy team. Tony Romo gets way too much media love. Same thing with Tim Tebow. He is what some may call a "Media darling". He got elite status just for modeling in GQ. Totally upside-down.

you are talking to The Coli, not ESPN and co. Joe Flacco is not an elite QB. He is a franchise QB. Tony Romo is not an elite QB either.

To be elite, you need to be able to win games when your team is having a shyt storm around you. Flacco needs a lot of help to win games.

There is nothing wrong with that, and dude could win 2 or 3 super bowls and end up a HOF QB but that does not make him elite.

The Saints are not a sexy team, and Brees is elite.

I don't really care. He can beat anybody in league on any give day, and that's all that matters. He's beaten Brees, Peyton, Brady, Big Ben(I ain't spelling that shyt), Rivers and Eli. Can you say that about any other QB that's Flacco's age or younger?

I think some of these young QB's will end up better than Joe. But they have to wait their turn, until they prove they can go up against Steelers, Pats, and Peyton, etc. I've seen to many QBs bow down to these teams over the years.

I can't tell you how many Quarterbacks shrivel up against Pitt's #1 D. Flacco gets to hone his game against them every year. I don't think people realize the defensive onslaughts that Flacco faces, especially during his rookie year (with just old man Mason, no rice, no Boldin/Smith).

Yep. You are right.

He's never going to be Brees or Brady in the accuracy dept but his arm allows him to push the ball down the field on every defense in the league...

LOL. So you are one of them b*tches who will be calling into a talk radio sports show and tell them that "Flacco is not elite" even though he beat the Patriots, on their home turf.
