So can we all agree that Joe Flacco is an elite QB?

there is nothing wrong with someone being a very good, franchise QB. Ben Roethlesburger has been that his entire career in Pittsburgh.

Flacco isnt elite, but he is a franchise QB who you can win a super bowl with, as he showed this postseason.

The whole "elite" stuff needs to be throw to the side. Its a boring discussion.

Big Ben has been great for awhile though because hes also beasting in the regular season not just the playoffs like Flacco

Flacco and Eli arent elite imo, as theyre too inconsistent in the regular season....but they can make all the throws, have tremendous arms and have the ability to get hot.

very good to great, but Ben isnt an elite QB. Flacco can be like that for Bmore, imo. And nothing is wrong with that.

I would say Eli has a better case than a Flacco because dude wins games for the Giants when everything falls apart around him.

A few years ago id agree with you but Big Ben is a beast now

The numbers he put up this year with a hideous oline was amazing

Name a time when he was in the top 5 in QB rating?

He had a great run just now, but winning a SB doesn't make you a top echelon QB, Brad Johnson won a SB.

I agree both aren't elite with Brees/Brady/Manning/Rodgers. As much as people want to say Eli is (and some even arguing if he's a HoF'er already), half of his career he was really inconsistent and is still somewhat. His completion % is not great as well. I would still put him above Flacco in the tier with Big Ben below the elites. Flacco is a solid, franchise QB you can build around long term.

this year, lets see if he carries that.

Ben is still only 30, so he can still become an elite QB, but Brady, Rogers, Brees, Peyton have been doing it for years. ben's numbers arent as good as those guys. But there is nothing wrong with that.

He didnt just win, he had one of the best playoff runs a QB ever had and won SB MVP.

This is not a damn Trent Dilfer situation

Name some better?

Best tight end in nfl history to go with two top 5 receivers in the game currently.

Put brady behind those guys and hes breaking records

Best in history is a stretch... But when is the last time a QB had two number one recievers?

Then you add in a top 5 TE and its :merchant:
