So can we all agree that Joe Flacco is an elite QB?

it happened tho, therefore the thought will be entertained

lol @ taking away credit for red zone passing TD's, those are the toughest ones to make. its pretty obvious you dont want to give dude any credit when he played almost flawless the whole postseason

I gave him credit by calling him good. He makes the throws he's supposed to make (Both Boldin and Pitta were wide open). He doesn't wow you and hasn't put the squad on his back for a signature drive like all the elite qb's have done. Maybe he has it in him, but he hasn't shown me anything that stands out as elite.

:pachaha: But, lets not forget though, this is the same Flacco that got outplayed by CHARLIE BATCH at home vs. the Steelers without Big Ben, so he will have those type of games and moments where he will have you like :wtf: :why:, but since last years AFC Championship game vs. the Pat's, he has been money in the playoffs though :obama:

There are only 4 elite QB's in football:

Rodgers
Peyton
Brady
Brees

That's it. That's where the list stops. You play against one of those guys and you just have to assume that they are going to outplay your QB and that you'll have to make up the difference in other parts of the game. They've done this consistently for years and years, week in and week out. They can win a game single-handedly when they're in a zone and have proved it many times over.

Against any of the other QBs, your QB (as long as he's not of the Mark Sanchez, Matt Cassell, Blaine Gabbert, Kevin Kolb variety) has a shot to outplay them and give you the best chance to win.

SMH at Flacco being elite. So if the Niners would have won, would Kaep be elite instead? He's never thrown more than 25 TD's in a season or passed for 4,000 yards but he's elite? FOH

Reminds me a lot of Eli. He had an excellent run in the playoffs this year and he is most certainly money. The issue at hand is consistency though. You can't be elite off the strength of one run. People are just so reactionary and lazy with their analysis.

Has he played at this level each of those years? :usure: We are talking about Flacco here not the Ravens team. If he had played anywhere near this level consistently (regular season counts to ya know) they would likely had a couple of rings before this one.

He's won a playoff game every year he's been in the league:dwillhuh:

This is exactly what I am talking about when I say lazy analysis. He was average to ass checks in almost all of those wins. I mean seriously the nikka went 4/10 passing with 34 yds 0 td and 1 int in one of those wins. :scusthov: He threw for < 200 yds in 4 of them. Outside of a nice game against KC in a blowout and last years title game Flacco (as an individual not riding the coattails of a great D or running game) had done nothing in the postseason or overall really before this year. He played at an elite level this postseason but he's gotta do it throughout the season for a number of years before he can truly be called elite.

nope, kaepernick would have only contributed for half a season; not nearly the 5 seasons in a row that flacco has made and won in the playoffs.

He had the 19th best completion percentage and 14th in yards this past season to go along with the 12th best QB rating. He ain't elite, bruh. Does he play great in big games? Sure. But that doesn't make him elite.

he'll quietly put up his usual 3,700 yards with barely 20 touchdowns and a mediocre yards per attempt next year and all this ridiculous elite talk will go away :snoop:
