This topic was clearly flame bait. BUT, i'll be the guy who takes the heat for saying that Bryan Danielson, the guy who wrestled on the indies before coming to the WWE and neutering his moveset to cater to it was indeed a guy who was ON PAR with the best technical wrestlers ever. I won't debate him against Bret though, as I was never too into him but recognize that he was AMAZING in that regard.

Daniel Bryan is cool and everything, but he mostly does kicks in his matches.

Better technical skill than Bret though?

bryan has been technically more skilled than hbk.
for more than five plus years now.

he definitely as wwe/whc more actualized than hbk, as well.

anyone saying different does not know either bryan's timeline and quality of work.
versus hbk's quality of work, in timeline.

hbk, is nowhere near bryan as a worker, period.
now, that bryan is an undisputed wwe title holder.
that fact is fully actualized, and There is nuffin you can do about IT!!!

I'm a huge Daniel Bryan fan like a lot of folks on here and an proud to see him get his shine on, but he hasn't passed Shawn. To say he won't pass him is yet to be determined. He is a great technical wrestler and ring technician but give him some time before you put him up there with the greats. He's not cracking the top five yet.

again,...
bryan danieson's resume from top to bottom, before Daniel bryan has more higher quality moments.
yet, when you add in the db accomplishments.
it is a no brainer...

bryan Danielson to db is legitimately the greatest indy hero to save wrasslin after the fall from the last boom period.

hbk, does not have the full resume and full accomplishments/facts in timeline form to win the argument.
when, compared to Danielson....

City of Angels :blessed:
OP is right though :patrice:

Name one thing Hickenbottom did better than the American Dragon.

Crowd reaction? Bryan is more over right now than Michaels ever dreamed of being in his career.

Signature moves? Flying headbutt/suicide dive/YES kicks/YES lock/Running knee >> Superkick/Flying elbow

Mic work? Bryan is no Rocky on the mic, but I'll take him over Shawn's gravely, drugged out voice any day. Shawn was wack as fukk on the mic.

MAYBE Michaels gets the edge in his selling ability.. he bounced around like a pinball like nobody I've ever seen, but right now... yeah.. you would have to say Bryan has surpassed him.

Michaels had four classic matches when he came back from the back injury to the time he retired -- both Undertaker matches, vs. Cena on RAW and vs. Shelton Benjamin on RAW.

Bryan has had four classic matches IN THE LAST YEAR ALONE.
