Don't see how anyone can hate on someone putting out a album like that. Songs like "i", Alright, Complexion, and How Much A Dollar Cost should get the upmost respect considering the trash the kids are really listening to today." "i" may be corny and wack but how can you not respect the song for the message. Meanwhile you got dumb ass songs getting like I'm in love with the Coco getting spins on the radio. Little 5 years talking about how they got baking soda. That shyt hot tho so they say.
But let these same Gump nikkas be in The Locker room with their faux militant slander ranting about shyt going on. But yeah you talk sown on your own. Kendrick a c00n? Nah Charles Barkley is c00n. People going at Kendrick's neck because his girl from 10 years has a light complexion.
It's always been apparent that Compton is where his heart is, reasons why 95% of his songs are about it or relate to it some how.

i think it boils down to what you consider flop, b/c its a solid album, he ain't platinum yet, but he more than halfway there, and most his fans like it, as far as club hits/commercial success, or whatever he could easily drop a vid for Hood Politics, Momma, Complexion, etc, and lock shyt down, K Dot just doing K Dot is all is what i thinkit had all the right ingredients (jazz musicians, thundercat, flyiling lotus, knxwledge and others) but the mainstream rap folks couldnt digest it.

No one is seeking validation. I think its pretty late for that. We all heard the album and most people couldnt digest it. I talk to my friends who r kendrick fans too. big ones. And even they say they gave up on listening to it or couldnt get into the vibe. I just made the thread to see who actually still plays it cause them reviews were overhyping it so much. Was it a flop? The poll says it wasnt so yall need to chill with the kenny capping.

These days anyone putting out albums buzz will seem like its falling flat but the numbers is where the truth is. Its doing good being out for 2 months.
