nope, just dont wanna hear him make a trash album, I like Section 80 too which sounds nothing like GKMC but keep making excuses and talking about DBZ:russ::umad:

But he didn't make a trash album that's what your failing to grasp. If he made a trash album it would've flopped, would've been panned left and right, and we wouldn't be having this deluded discussion.

So because some songs have an uplifting message we should give him a pass? Since he's not talking about negative shyt its automatically a great album?:camby: shyt was trash.. he could be rapping the solution to solve world hunger and it still sounded trash. Kendricks message about us not having respect for each other being why cops kill us is the same shyt Chares Barkley says soo...:mjpls:
Give him a pass from what? :why:

nikka im talking the other shyt yall be talking about. If you think it's trash, cool. nikka we gon be alright. But y'all sure like to keep talking about said trash album. Making the same damn threads every month.

Charles Barkley said slavery wasn't that bad FOH :camby:

you bytch ass nikkas over used the word c00n so much it's the reason why The Booth is trash and The Coli ain't number one. The fact y'all wish so hard for another Black man'man's demise only proves Kendrick's point.

Wtf have you done for your people tho. Besides hate on the next nikka, and the nikka after.nikkas gon nikkas so go ahead and nig

:snooze:

Counter productive ass nikkas

hype didn't reflect the sales, it's a flop sorry kendrick stans
Except you know, it actually didnt.

gkmc was charting for a good 15-20 months after release. It only sold 230k first week and consistently sold 5-10k a week for weeks and then months on end to achieve its platinum status.

Tpab came out over 2 months ago and is still charting every week. This week it sold 22k. And its sold more than gkmc had at this point.

But lets just ignore reality.

I know you guys are used to the young thugs of the world who chart for 2 weeks and sell 90% of their sales in one week but kendrick sells consistently over time.

I'll honestly be surpised if TPAB reaches 1 million untis sold in US. Remember GKMC had legs cause of songs like B Dont Kill My VIbe, Money Trees and Poetic Justice which kept it bumping all year.

What song does TPAB have that will give it legs to reach platinum status?? Please tell me cause I see a distinct difference in both albums, with one being a commercial success and the most recent one just being critically praised with no commercial appeal or success besides the 2 songs that came out before the album dropped. What song is gonna keep this album on charts for the next year? King Kunta? These Walls? None of those are hits like swimming pools, Sing about me, Kill my vibe, poetic justice.

People were able to name songs on GKMC that were gonna be summer anthems the day it dropped. I'm still waiting to hear what song or songs are gonna carry this album past the platinum mark. These Walls and Alright ain't gonna do it imo. And everyone saying this is an album you have to listen to front to back, give me a fukking break.

Its got no commercial appeal or success yet its one of the highest selling albums of 2015 in all of music?

And singles dont = album sales.

Gkmc sold because people loved the album and everyone was saying you have to listen to it front to back same way they do tpab.

Kendrick hasn't even gone on tour yet. The album will be past 700-800k by the end of the year, and will be plat before next summer. In terms of singles Alright and These Walls can get him onto the radio. But I think the tour will do more for the album than singles.

Really baffled that Kendrick disappeared after dropping the album. Cole had his tour planned and ready to go after dropping his album. Obviously Kendrick has a lot of festivals lined up this summer but he could have gone on a mini tour. They should have just toured Cali in the lead up to the album release, spreading the buzz.

What songs are being played on radio the way Swimming Pools and Poetic Justice were? Commercial success means it has songs all over radio and shyt. GKMC had songs playing all year on radio. I don't hear King Kunta or i. So what song IS being played on radio?

And I know a lot of people that bought GKMC cause they loved Swimming Pools or Money trees. You really think that people love TPAB as much as they love GKMC? Funny cause I don't hear ANYONE listening to it. Yet I heard GKMC being played all year when it dropped. You trippin.

Im trippin :mjlol: youre making yourself look foolish.

Tpab has a user metacritic of 9.0. The album is loved. It isnt the same type of album as gkmc. It isnt meant to be a bunch of songs played in the club either. So sorry that lil pookie from around your way hasnt been listening to it around you.

So now youre defining what commercial success is. :dead:

You have no leg to stand on this arguement at all so youre resorting to a bunch of non sense.

The album is selling and its acclaimed by critics and fans.

I don't think you know what a flop is. Because tpab is the opposite. It took gkmc 10 minths to go platinum. Talk to me in 6 months.

So you're saying commercial success = great reviews

Got it.

I won't bring up sales any more since you guys seem so confident in it pushing platinum in 6 months time. But I will say this. It doesn't excuse the tweet from TD saying that Cali wasn't supporting the project the week it dropped or that it was gonna sell a milli first week. The expectations for the sales and first week numbers were being hyped by TDE too. So for me to ask 2 months later if it's a flop is just getting the coli's opinion after so many thought it was gonna do crazy numbers.

And just as an example. Cole and Drake had decent albums without any big hits and they both already platinum in less than 6 months. So what is the excuse for this album not selling as much? Kendrick is suppose to be just as big of an artist as Drake and Cole right?

An album going gold in a month in 2015 is not a flop in this thing called reality.

Commercial success is sales and the album is selling the exact same way gkmc did except its sold more than gkmc did at the same point.

You literally have no points in your arguement but hearsay and anecdotal shyt.
