Sony VR flopped...but nikka was ready to buy into with the ps4pro :mjlol:

oculus rift still has huge potential, but hopefully they keep taking it slow and dont go for a all out push yet. I actually played on one again at the microsoft store and this time they had the vr hand sets.

Truly the only way to play vr, it was dope.

I bought the PSVR twice and took them back

There's no games for it , every "game" is a tech demo

Okay RE7 is coming out , but what else
I don't trust Sony so I got my money back

So you bought it twice in the 3 months it's been out? :dahell:

I'd understand if this was a Year later but wtf?
The first time I bought it I liked it and it was cool but once you realized there's no games for it and very likely won't be I had too

The second time I was high as fukk and just wanted to play , I thought maybe I'd end up keeping it but ehhh

Three months is a small window. I'm thinking u sold it in November and then rebought it in December knowing there's not much new out.

Doesn't RE drop next week with VR options? Because I could see videos of people playing and freaking out going viral if it's a scary enough game (matter of fact, people will exaggerate even if it isn't). That could help give it a bump.

I have all 3 VR headsets (PSVR, VIve, OR), and I haven't played either of them in weeks. Did VR flop?

The graphics have a screen door effect. There are no killer apps (in fact the highest rated VR game is a port [Rez]). Did this shyt flop brehs?

It makes me sad to say it, but it might just be a fad or a gimmick. What do you all say?
the interest is about 10 years away

OK
It's too early to tell, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried. By closing Guerilla Cambridge, Sony has showed they're not likely to take the financial risk of creating software to establish VR as viable platform. It's starting to feel like Move and Vita all over again.:francis:

I think 2017/2018 will be extremely pivotal for the future of VR, hopefully we'll see some impressive games in the coming months. 3rd parties and indies are going to have to carry this thing, or else VR is going back on the shelf for a decade or two.

I think the launch of VR was severely miscalculated and hype drove it to unreasonable highs. The only thing Valve, Sony ,or Oculus cared about was being first...not what was best for the tech.

your talking about a product that cuts you off socially, extremely expensive to get into, has crazy high dev costs, plus the hardware is still not really ready for the mainstream.

but, it was always going to be this way. FB still hasn't made a major push, and like it or not until we start seeing cheap knock offs running around there's still a while to go.

its kinda similar to how tablets made it big. Sure folk bought an iPad, but until cheap alternatives were made it wasn't considered a necessary product to have.

go ahead and put it right next to the kinect, power glove and virtual boy

video games been out since the 70s/80s.... people want to sit down, pick up a controller and play their video games on a screen... PERIOD

they keep trying to do this and that.... it ain't gonna fukking work

until you have a REAL VR setting where i'm on a 360 treadmill, playing INSIDE the game, and it ain't gonna fukking work.... and even then, most of the time i'm just going to want to sit down and play like a regular person
