The issue is, much of the criticism of the coli is aimed the way this board is run or certain aspects of it. A decent amount of complaints are aimed at pure logistics and the silence of the admin here in regards to problems and frustrations that even some moderators on this board like hex and so on have expressed openly, let alone other members. In short, many people here have complained about various issues so DC was set-up in making sure those pitfalls don't occur there. As for recruiting, while I can understand why it seems cultish, I think a lot of that stems from the fact that again, some people complain and are unhappy but may not be aware of DC. Consider: there are a number of people that don't visit TLR and some who absolutely refuse to or did at one point and stopped altogether. They are not aware of this thread and thus, may not be aware of DC, a site that may have the things they are looking for while maintaining some level of connection and community with people they have known for a bit or the general vibe that they have grown accustomed to.You shouldn’t because I didn’t say your name. The way some of you guys shït on this place but want majority of us to go over there is disrespectful and that culture there is an echo chamber. As for women, I get where you are coming from but at the same time, there should be a level of balance. Over there, no one is above reproach so it is less of an issue there. There's no coddling in general.
In any case, it would be nice to see some people from here there but if not, it is what it is. I'll understand.

It was just more of getting somethings together in the background in order.

and people (including former SOHH mods [who couldn't be mods here]) still resent that to this day
