It's ridiculous that I think police should have body cameras? Or that the makeup of the police department should reflect the neighborhood they work in?[/QUOTE]

That's a good point. Too often police don't live anywhere near where they work and cant build with the people and establish a connection. They just look at the people they work around as the enemy

Considering they can get gunned down too... yeah, they need to be politically aware and engaged in political struggle.
I educate him on that shyt too but the nikka is still 15 and he's gonna be into what he's gonna be into. Theres a lot more bullshyt he could be into than sneakers at his age

You crazy as fukk if you think I'm not shopping on one of the cheapest days of the year.

fukk is we gonna do come Sat-Sun when the shyt is back to full price?

Cant you go without the ****** trinkets for just one christmas? If the stores see a drastic decline this holiday, trust me that these prices will remain low well into the new year.

I can also tell him to wait until marriage to have sex but that doesn't mean he's not gonna think about sex. Trust me my kids are much more politically aware and proud to be black than most I know

Lol at people finding an excuse to shop on Friday. I've never shopped on black Friday so the verdict didn't influence my decision.
If people truly want to make an impact do your shopping at a black owned businesses. It really shouldn't take the tragic death of one man for blacks to realize this. Supporting your own should be second hand nature. Instead you have idiots actually underminding the power of group economics. They clearly don't understand that keeping the wealth within your community equates to power.
Buy we shall see how serious the negro is on black Friday. I have little faith that the negro will he able to resist his consumer and trivial materialistic urges to show restraint come black Friday. The same fools on twitter calling for justice will be out at 5am shoving and pushing black people to get their hands on the next trinket. Yet how many of them have anything saved for retirement? How many have an emergency fund? How many have enough food stocked in their pantry in case of disaster? How many use that paycheck they'll receive this Friday to go and support a black business? How many many will get with other blacks and pull their resources together to invoke positive change in their community?
My guess is that once this whole thing boils over, black will continue being the designated race of consumers.

I'm listening live to the press conference. Just said one thing they want is body cameras on every officer in America.

Still think that's a really bad idea @SuperCoolP_Cal?

You think his parents are ignorant too?

The technology is there. The money is there. This should happen.

I'm waiting for you to make the connection. Let's say you did this after the Trayvon Martin shooting. If you did, would that have meant Brown wouldn't have gotten killed? See how stupid that is. You have a bunch of people wanting to do something, and not shopping is what you come up with?

What I suggested and many others here would be a better "start".

Police force represent the neighborhood.

Body cameras on all police officers.

Now, somebody here, find the fault with those 2. Not this, I'm not going to buy an Xbox bs. Maybe you're more concerned with making yourself feel good, pat yourself on the back like you're really doing something, but real world, it does absolutely nothing.

Its like talking with a brick wall with you... Okay, here it goes

1) Unity is the key word. Unity and sending a message with our pockets. The message is what connects Mike Brown and the boycotts: If Amerikka doesn't value black life, don't expect to value our black dollar.

I don't know how many times people tried to drill into your head, this isn't the end all be all, its a start, look at the bigger picture

Anything accomplished within this country, including your solutions, requires funding, and where are we gonna get the funding if we don't start somewhere

2) It goes much deeper than cops & cameras. It comes down to bringing down a corrupted system. What's stopping these cops from taking these cameras off? What's stopping them from even getting away with murder even when filmed?

Example 1: Eric Garner. This whole incident was filmed and almost NOTHING has come of this

On July 20, 2014, the officer who grabbed Garner by the neck, Daniel Pantaleo,[12] was put on desk duty and stripped of his service handgun and badge.[28] Officer Justin Damico was allowed to keep his badge and handgun but was placed on desk duty

Desk duty breh, fukking desk duty?

Example 2: officer took off their camrea and shot someone

We, as black people, need to unify, send a message, and support out own to either fight a corrupt system, or, build or own and support ourselves while everyone else leave us the hell alone... and this may be a start

If you don't mind me asking:
What's your race?
What's your sex?
How old are you?

Matter of fact, I'll start, I'm 31 black male

It's ridiculous that I think police should have body cameras? Or that the makeup of the police department should reflect the neighborhood they work in? You continue to expose just how stupid you are. Those are valid and good points. Again, other people have brought them up.

But your solution is not to shop, haha.

No, it's stupid to think that boycotting white-owned businesses and creating our own economy wouldn't combat racial inequality and police brutality.
