I actually believe he's letting em down, People were ready to champion his comeback, but realize that rap music is going in a different direction. Dude fit in when he was doing his angry/darkside rap, fans flocked to that, because he was there with them, in the moment. Angry white kids were loving that shyt. But em is in a different space now, when you take that much time off, you have a chance to look back and reflect on how you got to where you are now. You can't re-channel that because circumstances are different. The element that made him angry has long since eroded with the passage of time and success. He's one of the best in the game but he's going to have to let his reputation and past work cement his place in history.

refill/recovery/BME are all amazing pieces of work.

That's the only Em album that I have listened to multiple times, it seemed like a tribute to Proof album and there's nothing wrong with that, when I mention comeback, I wasn't referring to album sells because he will always push platinum records because of his core fan base, I was talking in terms of being away for 3 years and not really doing any known features or anything of that nature. I honestly think he'll have better cuts on his CD, but it might not be as cohesive as his other efforts.

relapse refill is CLASSIC.. his rappin skills havnt missed a beat.. refill is arguably his most lyrical album.. recovery brought him back to the top of the game murderin kanye/wayne/drake on forever. he finally gave us BME..
