Nothing in this post resembles an argument. Premiums rise every year anyway. They are rising at their lowest rate in 50 years under Obamacare. If you want to criticize it, at least do it factually and him using charts is superior to your conjecture. Even if you were in Auburn, Alabama (as opposed to NYC). Making that amount of money would make you eligible for Medicaid if Alabama had extended (but it didn't). That would still qualify you for subsidies that would cover 89% of your maximum premium (can't be more than 2% of your income). So you would pay 260 dollars per year or 22 dollars per month. In other words, he's full of shyt and if you couldn't see that immediately then I don't know what to tell you.

Its amazing to me how poorly this entire thing was executed, from the time Democrats hoodwinked the public when they bargained for this watered-down law even up to today where they have to keep giving extensions because they know they executed this plan horribly. I just don't get the penalties for NOT signing up. The prices alone are kinda fukked, but manageable in the end. I'm two weeks out of my job and getting ready to start up some bullshyt general labor gig to make SOME coin until I can find another job. I just quit my job two weeks ago to be a full time entrepreneur. The plans on healthcare.gov were expensive and the ones that were cheaper provided crap coverage. The problem is that the Amerikkkan people (white people) do not want to have a national healthcare system that is aligned with other western countries out of spite to screw over minorities, so we are left with this BS. I had to bite the bullet and at least get insurance for the rest of the year. I did a SILVER plan for healthcare and dental which is a little over $300 per month

The whole plan was horrible...government is so inefficient, but reliable if that makes sense.

The poor were covered...rich and nikkas with coverage at work were cool. Seems like it REALLY helped a minority. Wasn't groundbreaking enough for all of the shyt where it could benefit the non-poor working class.

Do like the coverage it extended with people in their early 20s with their parents.
