that whole bungalow area is shady as fukk too

Mostly white trash, nothin to really be worried about...i grew up there so shyt doesn't phase me as much....basically if u hang out (as rockaway is full of bars) ur gonna be in some shadier areas cuz thats where most of em r located. However, i like that its still kind of a secret n ppl aren't inclined to come out here cuz it keeps that tight knit community feel...but those fukkin hipsters already started invading in the summer actin like they own the place :stopitslime:

I remember driving out to Kings Plaza last year when I was home for the holidays. Traffic was crazy. My homie was telling me VA had me driving like a bytch. I was rolling. We get to the garage and I start cursing out this car that was going to the wrong way when I was trying to grab a spot. Turns out it was an old woman driving. My homie looks over and shouts out, you're back! I love my hood. Dope thread.

Northeast Bronx and Mt Vernon are black Jamaicans. You see a sprinkle of Hispanics, but a lot of them stay outta areas that ain't shopping centers. Central BX and places that ain't on the money of Riverdale are Dominicans. Puerto Ricans used to be deep in the BX a decade ago, but a lot of them got ran out by Dominicans.

Ya know, for a guy who is always shytting on NY in The Booth, You seem to know a awful lot bout New York :leostare:

You from UPstate or Westchester or sumtin jack?

I shyt on current NY trends, which are biting trends from other regions due to the internet age of regional-less music. There are a lot of posters from NY that shyt on it harder than I ever could.

Moving from Philly to NY, I didnt think would be a big cultural difference, but goddamn :damn:
Im staying in Jamaica, Queens, but I want to live farther north soon, maybe Flushing or Elmhurst.

- NY'ers aint soft. I aint seen no violence, no fights, not even a gun, but I can tell niccas aint suckas.

- Nikkas think my Philly accent is "country" :mjcry:

- So many cultures and diversity. Seems like whenever I see a brother, and say "wassup", breh responds in a crazy ass accent, either Jamaican/ African/ French/ some shyt i dont comprehend...
I cant hold a convo with them Jamaican niccas, breh.

- That E train is a journey

- Shyt is segragated as hell. I aint seen no white people at all in Jamaica, only black and Spanish. Flushing seems to be all Asian. Jackson Heights is Middle Eastern. Corona/ Elmhurst is Latin. All the cacs is in Astoria and LIC (expensive as hell).

- The ladies :blessed:

- Seems like people not from Queens hate coming here. I told Brooklyn and Harlem people that I live in Queens and they do the :mjpls:
Breh dont go to FLushing remember first day i had to work in the hospital i was at flushing and as i get off on main street i thought i was in tokyo

Dominicans own the BX now just like they do the Heights, but it's all about where you are in the BX. I grew up near Yankee Stadium and that area still has symptoms of its old self but is changing gradually. But when I go visit the fam once in a while, I know that I would lose my mind if I lived there now.
