You'll be alright regardless OP. DUI won't stop you from getting a job or anything unless the job requires driving. But the community service, fees and restricted license will be a pain in the ass but you'll be aite. Minor setback for a major comeback. Just learn from the experience and be on point next time.

I was only at the bar for 45 min for a friends birthday had a couple drinks and dipped out early. I had just come back from a tennis match in another city...and I had a match at 9 in the morning the next day. I wasn't "drunk" by any means. It was fresh on my breath and I blew the limit. Its all bullshyt and a headache right now.

all it takes is like 3 beers and you could blow over the limit.

A dude I worked with got a DUI. He said it costs him like 10k in all with a good lawyer(fees, classes, new car-computer install/removal,etc), but he's doing alright now. Got a nice salary job and everything.

Something I learned is that if you've got a legal problem, throw a bunch of money at a good lawyer and that shyt WILL get fixed, or DRASTICALLY get better at minimum. Seen it SO many times.

about 15 years ago i met my girl.
we were both shyt faced drunk chilling at my apartment and for whatever reason decided to go to her place.
going down the highway and i passed out.

then i woke up.

there is this exit to the right...the highway curves to the left at this exit.

every now and again i would see a car accident were the care would smash into the barrels full of water in between the exit and the highway and think "how the fukk do you do that?"


i almost did that.
my eyes opened and i got the car back in the lane.
i could taste the adrenaline in my mouth...i looked to my right and saw my girl sleeping.

i could never forgive myself if my girl was hurt or killed because i crashed while drunk.

never drove drunk again.

It depends on your state laws and how good your lawyer is. Either way you are going to have to pay a lot of money. If you pay enough you can get it off. My ex got a dui in Cali, his dad is a lawyer. He had to pay a lot of money, do community service and take a 6 mo driving course and its off his record. But that was like 7 years ago

I know a guy that knows a guy that has driven with a few drinks in his system before and he always makes a conscious effort to make sure not to speed. Because if he's gonna put his life in danger he'd rather do it at 30 mph than 60.

The rule to drunk driving is to NOT do it if you're black. The other rule is to do it and drive SAFELY. As in, drive like a bytch ass grandma. Also, don't speed. If you're in a 45, go 50. IF you're in a 25, go 25. etc.

Just be smarter next time breh. Also, you shouldn't of taken the tests. Should've told them you had no legal obligation to do them. They can take our ass to jail, but they can't force you to take that shyt. Taking the charge of not co-operating by performing their tests is far better than a DUI punk!
