I was in Philly, and I remember him getting booed out of the city at the TLA after RD.


Meh though...he got his revenge by scooping up Philly artist (which was the basis of Rocafella besides Jay...nobody was fukking with bleek and h money bags :pachaha: )and stealing their songs and flows

Funny story, we were in school and a chicago radio station was having a fund raiser concert in the gym with special guest like monica, Jason weaver, usher, subway, da brat.

Well anyway they were doing some little contest and the prize was a free jay z poster lol, when the radio personality showed the jay z poster the girls in the gym starting ugh'ing :scust: and some of the dudes booed (pac fans who hated anyone pac dissed) lol

Yea he def was bubblin but i saw blew because he was on the cover of the source in 1998 and also on DJ Clues album

Plus the world moved slower back then. A lotta people didnt learn about things till months or year a later

Yeah - no doubt. We are arguing over semantics. Point blank, he was a big deal back then. I don't see how you could have been a serious fan of hip hop then and not been looking forward to his debut album. :blessed:
