That song is from 1994. It's on the soundtrack to Street Fighter.
I figured that might happen. I'm not mad at that decision
One on One by Nas is dope too. Don’t sleep on that.
That was One on One breh, One Plus One is a different song from LP 96 album.
One on One was made for the Street Fighter Soundtrack and the theme of the lyrics reflect that, so would be a bit out of place on Illmatic.
On The Real was just after Illmatic though in 94, when he was planning on making his second album with only Marley Marl.
Deja Vu was also planned for his second album, as said in here, but would fit Illmatic nicely.
Wake Up Show Anthem was themed around that as well, but just shows how well Nas was ryhmin' in 94-96
My bad. I got the titles mixed up.
Damn that ain't an easy choice to make on the spot. Gonna go bump all these joints before i hit you with an answer G

Sales had no relevancy to the angle of the thread.

Aw hell yeah! I listened to BN bootleg weeks before I bought it but I still bought it and to me it bang just as hard. Same with Illmatic. Man I never get tired of that album!
I’m just going throw this out, Nas destroyed that first beat something awful. It’s ridiculous how much talent this man has.
