Meek Mill talking about the first thing he doing when he get out of jail is moving to Atlanta :ohlawd:
This coming from a dude who basically lived in LA before he got knocked and would literally be treated like a king in Philly. That place is really black paradise in ppl minds.
The black nepotism comment sound spooky, cause it's one thing to get jerked by cacs you hate but something else to get it from your own people.
I'm going for the first time next month but will be rolling with Nigerians with money down there so not sure if I will get a "real" experience

I only had 3k but that was just me and I was relatively younger too. That was enough to get me a spot (rent and deposit) and have a month’s rent on hold while I got myself settled in and figured out how I was going to make more money.

Plus, I had that one friend from college who was working here with americorps and she let me stay with her for a couple of weeks before I got my own spot.

It was a risk but it paid off big in the end. Who knows what the fukk I’d be doing in Greensboro right now if I hadn’t moved. Working some job i don’t like for sure. Making no money. In a city I hate. No. Not me

I wanna do this and probably will end up doing this in the near future but I never knew what a good amount of money would be to have saved. 3k seems realistic. Or at least 3k.

Good looks!

Damm the question. :camby:

Real question is "Do you have a plan"?:patrice:

You aren't white...so if you are black you better have a muthafukkin plan because we don't have the luxury just to "ohhhhh I am going to get up and move".:upsetfavre:

So what is your plan? Do you have a job? Do you have 6 months of savings to live on your own?

bolded for emphasis. White folks can just randomly get up one day, decide to put a "for sale" sign on their house and just start driving across country, living out of their car and motels and be good

That's the part that always gets me about the show Supernatural. Sam and Dean are really examples of what young white guys can do. Just going across the country, faking ID's and gaming the system

You need to have a plan especially in 2018... this ain't the 90's. Man I remember the days where people would leave a job and pretty much walk right into another one living in the A. I would not try that now lol. Man I was going to leave my career where I wasn't making shyt in Augusta, Ga to move to Atlanta to start a job taking pictures of people at the Ga Aquarium for 7 bucks an hour just to say I live in Atlanta. Man I'm so glad I didn't do that lol. It seems to me that people always talk about Atl's greatness and it's hustle mentality, but they never talk about the people who couldn't cut it and they ended up homeless or some shyt. We had a long thread about people making youtube vids telling people why they left Atlanta... most of them were bums though lol. I hope you'll be ok if you make that move.

I am in the Atlanta area right now. I been driving all over and the traffic is ridiculous. Its take 30 mins to drive anywhere on the side roads and 85 is fukking ridiculous. I am in some part called Sugar Loaf/Sugar bread something, was in Duluth, Lawerenceville, Suawnee and a bunch more place on the outer perimeter. I can't fathom how people like down here. I fukked up an got some p*ssy down here already but my nerves on edge trying to figure out genders and the gay boys out here strong. I do however like its a strong Jamaican presence out here and I see alot of black businesses.

I just up and moved to Atlanta with no money, job prospects, or nothing 2years ago.

Its possible to do, its a city where you really get back what you put in. The results are minimal, but its a city that gives what you put in. Atlanta has been generous to your boy considering I came with and from nothing:wow:

There is a strong energy here that alot of shyt is going to pop off in this city; music has been popping, movies, entertainment, tech industry, good self made/owned trade industries.

Id say Atlanta is one of few places where the energy is one of thriving. If you are trying to improve yourself and you willing to grind very hard, ATL will throw you a bone, a very small one. you can't come here and get "comfy" cause the standard of living rises every month it seems.

:picard:But you needing that sponsorship tho, not gunna happen here, too many internationals vying for thth too
