A 5 star film like Godfather 1 and 2. The Fredo couch scene is genius work and the way Goodfellas is shot..Scorsese was ahead of his time.

Goodfellas is up there, not one fake scene in that film, everything feels real.

But, The Godfather + II take it for me. Theres a reason why it is high up the list of every critic. And its a gangster film, think about that for a minute. A GANGSTER FILM is top of nearly every critic's list. Pacino was in top form in both, when you finish watching them, you feel like a don yourself. And its more about power rather than killing. De Niro bodies Part II aswell.

goodfellas is one of the most entertaining movies of all time because it's so upbeat and so well made, but it's really just an up close and personal look into the lives of hoods. i mean what is there to take away from that movie... "don't be a fukk up"?

the godfather is deeper on so many levels imo.

i have to strongly disagree with you here. casino is definitely a good movie, but its not seeing goodfellas or GF & GF II.

my issue with casino is rothstein. not only does he take simping to some incredible levels, he is just shytting on the guys back home. going on tv, and doing the complete opposite of what they told him to do. i can't fux

rothstein's problem was that he was too sensible which i can appreciate. dude was good with the numbers and dealt with everyone very business like, i don't think he was a simp as much as he was unable to comprehend that ginger was just a crazy ass bytch. ultimate case for #gmb right there. then you had joe pesci in an even bigger role than goodfellas him running around fukking up vegas

the first hour of casino is some of the slickest shyt i've ever seen. the narration in that segment >>> goodfellas. i like goodfellas but in general i feel like casino is just slicker. it's also a non-traditional mob type movie which i thought was dope
