Omega right now is the hottest wrestler in the world. Just headlined the Tokyo dome, I'm not a big NJPw person but someone like that skips NXT.

That's like if they would have sent Jericho to OVW when he came from WCW. nikka had "it" already.

All things considered Age, Look, Style, Cultural Understanding, Indy Cred, Mic Work, Ring Work, Omega is your guy. RIGHT NOW... he has it like not many people do anymore and he KNOWS he does.

Crowd doesn't have to know him, they can do that weird thing called...

Actually building someone in a credible way that makes them get over.

I don't know if I agree with Omega being the hottest in the world, definitely to hardcore fans and people who keep up on the internet, but the regular viewer or someone who drops in and out of the product has absolutely little to no idea who he is and his work.

I don't think comparing NXT to OVW is appropriate, those are 2 way different developmental systems and I don't even think OVW was farming for WWE in 99.

Omega is the best in the world, I'm with you on that. But I feel like its not just about being the best, but also being the best fit. Yeah, ideally WWE would put him on TV and build him from the ground up on Raw/SD programming, but my concern is how successfully he'll translate to the WWE system, and that's for all the reasons I mentioned above. Even with your Jericho comparison, Jericho absolutely struggled his first couple years in the E and didn't find his footing until years later, and he came directly from WCW. You don't want that to happen to Omega who deserves instant top billing and success the moment he signs.

I don't remember Jericho struggling whatsoever. He debuted with the Rock and held his own.
Did he go right to the top? No but close , you had Rocky
HHH
Stone Cold
Foley
Jericho in that order during the attitude days.

Well struggle is relative but his magic in WCW definitely wasn't there in WWF when he came in, and yeah people were expecting him to be world champ but he was only a midcard guy until like 01.

This makes no sense whatsoever. Prime Rock and Austin weren't moving out of the top 2 spots. Fioley and Hunter were on a roll also. Vince knew Rocky and Austin kept the cash register ringing. Why blow it ?

Jericho had national exposure prior to wwe . Omega isn't a good or great promo so comparing him to those guys is :hhh: his best recent promo was in Japanese when he said he was staying in Japan for like or something . A good English promo

He needs nxt man . He's not use to wwe style of wrestling or promos or entrances . Ask Finn balor it's harder than it looks . The bucks probably wouldn't need nxt , Roode didn't need nxt . But nah he needs some changes to his style . :finnumad: Did you forget how a few months ago people were saying wwe buried AJ due to the club losing a tag match or him losing at mania .

We're not arguing BTW I see your points...

Jericho didnt struggle for YEARS bro, he took a minute to transition but years is overdoing it.

Those in and out fans don't even exist anymore the way people say they do. The emphasis on people caring about something they dont care about is too overstated in wrestling. Either you watch this shyt or you don't. Those channel flippers are only concerned with part timers and they are a minority. They will adapt to him, the same way they adapted to AJ. And plz dont bring up TNA because most people never watched TNA, if we're gonna use casual fans as a barometer.

People got into AJ because of his work and because of his hype. I never saw him in TNA and i love AJ.

Who do u ever have a casual convo about John Cena and Big Show with? WWE is a niche product. We r a niche fanbase, they need to learn to make us happy and stop trying to bag bytches out of their league. Besides They can build anyone anyway they wish.

Thats the problem with wrestling now, who knew fukking Edge before he came in? Who knew Triple H? Who knew The Rock? They brought them in and they grew as they should have to where they should have been.

Imagine if after Die Rocky DIe, they woulda sent him back down to NXT. He would have never been the rock then.

Kenny doesnt need NXT, he's a once in a lifetime talent entering his prime and young as hell. There is no excuse for him not to be getting a major push in the biggest company in the world. Not just because of his ring work. But the dude has GRAVITAS and Charisma. That shyt is needed NOW.

You don't send Lebron to the D League. They arent doing anything that complex that he can't catch on too.

Omega is the hottest wrestler in the world right now. If not him then that spot is vacant.

He's not the biggest name, but thats not what being hot is. A Boogie is the hottest new rapper in NYC, all his videos have 30 million views, but who knows him like that? Yet and still he's the hottest commodity for anyone who wants to invest in a new talent.

The product gonna stay trash if it doesnt ever learn to move organically again. You have to ride the waves. That will bring more viewers.

They spend so much time trying to manufacture moments, that they damn near miss their shot EVERYTIME they shoot it.

Roman's single run, Dean's championship run, Seth's face turn etc. all products of them not moving with the rhythm of the times.

Kenny got now, give him a bag of money and bring him in.

Making him Triple H's guy that he picked over Seth. Thats where Triple H has been the past 5 months, finding Seth's replacement.. "Seth dropped the ball, just like Shawn Michaels dropped the ball in 98" etc.. He's got a new project and it's Omega. Omega takes over the Terminator entrance from Trips at Mania... 7 Star classic, write @LaughsLikePac his check.

The wwe fans didn't even know some nxt stars when they came up lol omega woujd have to get booked and treated like god when he came to wwe to guarantee he's taken serious

That bridge has long fallen down, Balor and Bayley both got the pop of the night upon their debut. Think about the kind of crowd that'll be at the Royal Rumble or the show after.

Ya know, reading through this topic I wasn't really feeling your argument, but ya know what, you've persuaded me.

I agree, fukk it. Give him some money and see what the guy can do.

Having said that...

...I disagree with this.

I think that getting rid of the GM's, Anonymous GM, Authority, basically...the business people...is paramount to turning the show around. They are going to HAVE TO find a way to make the mythology be about the actual wrestlers again, and not this inside-baseball stuff.

If anything, they should have a segment where Hunter comes out and tries to recruit him, and he tells them to fukk off. *This does not start a feud*. And let that be the end of that.

Jericho definitely didn't struggle in WWF for years... he had a rough first 2-3 months, but he started there in August '99 and was I-C champ by the end of the year, and interacting with Rock, HHH, and Benoit by the following spring... he didn't go to the main event overnight, but struggled is an overstatement.

Omega coming right now would probably be great, but it probably would be better if he came after what will likely be a stacked Mania. There's a lot of people already due to be on that card, and Omega would get lost in the shuffle if he debuted right this minute. After Mania would be the best time.

Depends on your opinion of "struggling". According to Jericho himself in his second book he struggled for many years. From the beginning throughout the Undisputed Championship reign he says Vince never saw him as a top guy which is what he wanted. Personally I think he did well enough but I was a fan of his WCW work. Vince was not.
