How does this work in other industries, and in other companies not ran by people making 6 million a year? A mom and pop burger shop that employs 6 people at 10 an hour is supposed to just jump up to 15? I mean....this shyt is unrealistic. 15 dollars is too fukking much. Well, at least where I live. I know cost of living is higher elsewhere. If they want to increase it, they should make it make sense in regards of the cost of living. 15 across the board is dumb

Why is $15 too much, but not the $3-4-5 Billion a company rakes in at the end of the quarter/year? Why is $15 too much but not the $100-250k bonuses or the $2-3-4-5 Million salaries the higher ups are taking home?

These people have been stuck @~8/hr for a decade+ while companies have since doubled and tripled their profits, upper heads keep taking home massive bonuses, the cost of living keep rising yet that's perfectly fine, but when it comes to giving the people that all make it happen a small salary bump to reflect the cost of living.. $15 is too much man the mindset of some of you


Capitalism is not a friend of the people, but these corporations are glad to know that most of you have their backs with this dumb ass mindset... that's why they'll keep getting away with the shyt they do while most of you keep bussin your anger shots at the unarmed masses that's just trying to live... shyt is sad as fukk..


That being said.. This shyt is coming and pay bumps ain't gonna stop it.. greed, narcicism and lack of empathy will keep bringing humans back to these crossroads.. "fukk you, I got mine" works till shyt goes south.. I just wish the process would speed up so we can destroy and rebuild already... it's gonna be pure anarchy

$40,000 a year before any overtime. Is $19.25 an hour. Which is above a lot of college careers.

See all jobs should go up, not just low income to $15. And if all jobs go up. All prices go up. So its fake, just moving the goal posts.

That's what some of these idiots don't get.. yet they angry at minimum wage workers that are just trying to put bread on the table.. these people are modern day slaves.. they work just so they can feed themselves to go back to work.. and they can't eat.. if you got out of college and you don't like $18/hr then take it up with your employer... If you think you're gonna be broke @$18 only after the wage bump then what the fukk were you before

Mini-marts already have self-ordering kiosks. Sheetz, Wawa, Royal Farms among some of them. The employees on the food side of things spend their time preparing the food. You take your order ticket to the cashier to pay for it. No one is needed to take your order. Not that hard to replace an order taker/cashier/meal server and just turn that person into a cashier/meal server.

these kinds of jobs were always going to become automated down the line. there is no what if. businesses can cut costs selling higher quality food at cheaper prices so much that they undercut their competitors and force them to bring in the same technology or go out of business. it starts a chain reaction. its not the workers fault that technology progresses. thats what technology is supposed to do

Here's the thing dude.. there's nothing to pick up.. if wages would have increased in lock step with the cost of living then this would be a non issue.. teachers, firemen, police officers wouldn't be stuck at 60k so there would be nothing to complain about... it becomes a problem when you gotta work 60 hour weeks in a first world country just to keep a roof over your had an food on the table..


I just told you that everyone got fukked, but you're more worried about them getting closer to your pockets.. see my earlier post about narcissism.. it's all misdirected anger breh.. you're angry at the wrong set of people for the wrong reasons.. anger should be guided at the cause of the stagnant wages.. not the effects.
