So James Harden is the favorite to win MVP because he's averaging double digit assist?

The 718
1) Harden
2) Kawhi
3) Bron
4) Westbrook
5) IT

I had KD ahead of Bron but the injury might affect voting.

The H
29/11/8 are are not only MVP numbers, it's one of the best statlines in NBA history. Not only that he's leading his team to the third best record in the NBA with no other all stars. He's also leading the league in winshares and ortg. He's top 3 in PER. He's led this team to surpass everyone's expectations. It's a no brainer he's a deserving MVP candidate.

Last year was not on him at all. Just like this year isn't on Russ. His teammates were beyond garbage and he didn't even have a respectable coach. Last year was the anamoly not the norm. Year before he led a mediocre roster to 56 wins as well. Respect the man.

Kawhi is his competition and the only one who should be in my opinion. I don't really care who wins it out of them two with both have damn good arguments and Kawhi maybe having a slight edge.

How is Harden not at the very least a top two MVP candidate on anyone's list? His numbers are insane, his team is top 3 in the west and league. I can understand the argument made for Kawhi but he has a better team and coach. Westbrook, just no, you gotta win more. Cavs been looking like some shyt lately. Who else?

the spurs are good every year...some how, some way theyd be this successful even if he was injured this year

i agree but take away kawhi, this team would be battlng for a 5-7 seed. there have been games, when kawhi has carried this team on the offensive end .they've had pau and parker out, and kawhi has been getting it done. if LMA was playing halfway decent, then i would have something against kawhi mvp talk. nikkkas is so infatuated with this triple-double and a whole bunch of other stat shyt, kawhi has been balling as well. even if he don't win the mvp, he looking like the defensive player of the year winner at the moment. does kawhi benefit from pop yes but, i think with his improvement on the offensive end (mid/low-game, ball handle) has been something else to the point i don't think of him as a system player anymore. i don't even remember duncan playing like this with pop.

ppl thinking Westbrook gonna win MVP like they thought Kobe would win that year he average 35-36 ppg. Not happening.

As it stands right now, it's going to harden. A top scorer while at the same time leading the league in Assist? C'mon.

I dont like Harden, but that's a crazy thing that would've never happened in years past. PLus his team is doing great overall

The Rockets weren't even projected to make the playoffs by most people. And before you try and say it's Dantonis system, remember he led the Rockets to almost 60 wins under McHale with Dwight Howard missing half the season.

He also got Mchale fired...led them to a 40 something win season...and a hilarious 1st round exit...

Now...was that the year he set the record for most turnovers in a season...or was that a different year :jbhmm:
